Absolutely zero point whatsoever in this game regardless, but the thought of our team with none of Holmes (rested), Botaka Magennis or Lookman (international duty) in it makes me want to reach for the shotgun. Unfathomably dull. We'll be lucky if we have a shot.

I think it is a good opportunity to give some fringe players a run out. Tex, Ba, Novak, Chickenshit, Ajose, plus youth team players. It could be quite interesting.
I hope if anyone goes they will let us know what happened.

In normal times I might have gone to see the young players make their debuts. At least there would be some novelty.
Two teams, who don't give a stuff about the comp, will play an incredibly dull and tedious draw (0-0 or 1-1) in front of a few hundred customers who also don't really give a stuff about the comp.
If we lose, Slade will say it's a meaningless tournament and he was taking the opportunity to give the youngsters/oldies/crap squad players (not that that rules out too many) a run out, but if we win he'll say "thank you for your patience, that's the spark we needed, and we've turned a corner in our season".
Mind you, if our first XI beat the Fakenham Town U11s he'd probably claim we'd turned a corner and the season was back on track ...

Crawley very much care about it. I work in Crawley and with Crawley fans and they believe that if they beat us it is a sign that they are working back towards league 1.
If two teams " don't give a shit" about the game then why can't it be 8--7 instead of a nil nil and pens ?
Maybe they should play rush back keepers ?
Ajose looked naffed off with the non service he got on Saturday even dropping to halfway line to get the ball . Would be good to see him get s full game and s couple of goals.
Just over 8 hours to kick off, and I am so excited I think I will get there at 6pm to soak up the atmosphere. 7-0 Charlton
Perhaps you could mingle outside with Crawley fans and day dream about the unique fan experience of seeing future Premier League stars in our very own first team.

Phillips
Foley, Baeur, Pearce, Chicksen
Charles-Cook, Crofts, Aribo, Hanlan,
Novak, Ajose
Didn't play for the U23s yesterday or is he injured
But don't mind the look of that team. Got to be giving the younger players a chance in this, not that I'll be there to watch it, pointless game.
