How about CARD producing a few thousand NK mini flags and everybody waving them in time (when KM takes her seat) like you see on the news everytime Kim walks around?
In the war; Henry Irving will endorse this fact. The People of Britain sang "Hitler has only got one ball" and would do the goose step and mock the Nazis
I see to recall singing the hitter has only got one ball song at school in the '80s.
Can't remember why now. Probably to relieve the grimness of growing up in Coventry.
Coventry had more building bombed than anywhere else in Britain on a % of size. so i guess the song had been passed down from older Coventry folk.
Where does the saying "sent to Coventry" come from?
It's been traced back to the English Civil war and the first battle of Edge hill in Warwickshire in Oct 1662. Even thou the battle was a score draw; the Royalist who were captured by the Roundheads, were sent to the city of Coventry which was a parliamentarian stronghold. They were imprisoned and shunned by the locals.
Not a lot of people know that.
Well you learn something new everyday. I always thought it was derived from the Royal Navy where if somebody did something to upset their comrades they were 'sent to Coventry' because Coventry is the point on the map of Great Britain that is furthest from the sea.

Sorry, sorry, sorry, not quite right.
English Civil War was over before then and King Charles II already restored to the throne in 1660. Battle of Edge Hill was 1642.
6. A film with an untidy plot cannot grip the audience and define their emotional response.
7. ...or they go to the cinema and they are not satisfied with the product...
8. every decision was the correct one because.........
was it?:
a) Kim Jong-il (father of Kim Jong-un) and former leader of the DPRK b) Kim Jong-un (current leader of the DPRK) c) Kat Me-ire (current leader of the SMTCAFC) d) Parke-Sue-keep-free-bies-coming (current leader of SE7VALLIANTS)
ANSWERS (all 8 correct and you are entered into a prize draw where the winner spends an evening with 'When I Was a Little Boy' discussing Geo-Politics).
1. a) Kim Jong-il ...there is no word 'impossible' ....in the Korean Language (please, no pedants posting that if there is no word 'impossible' in the Korean Language than how did he say it? I don't know ok and to borrow heavily from our own dear Katrien....'I don't care.'
2. b) Kim Jong-un of the imperialists/The US - just about everyone in fact.
3. d) Parke-Sue- keep etc. of virtually every anti-regime comment or action but more recently about the sarcastic programme editor's notes in the Cheltenham programme. If she found those disgusting she must have led a very sheltered life.
4 and 5. c) Our own Kat Me-ire taking the Kim Jong-il approach in disowning a word, in this case 'failure' - it doesn't happen in her world
6. a) Kim Jong-il
7 and 8 c) it's her again - snippets from the oft quoted Dublin fiasco and the 'why so many managerial changes' question where she left the interviewers both perplexed and in the latter case almost speechless such were the obvious flaws in her analogy in the first case and her facts in the second.
The continual digging out of a 60 plus woman, who has different views to the majority of people on here represents some of the values of North Korea.
It seems that it's not just Meire that can't take opposite views.
Yes, really!!
I put that in there as a feed because I knew full well that she wouldn't be able to stop herself from making a derogatory statement on 'SE7 Valiants' about the flag. A statement that would no doubt of referred to fellow Charlton supporters as 'disgusting'.
Whether she likes it or not and whether in her 60's or not, Sue Parkes is a representative of the club and accordingly in a position of trust. Her conduct in recent months in her treatment of genuine and long standing Charlton fans has been a disgrace. She is an embarrassment to the club and if the club was controlled by anyone other than Meire, I have no doubt that her husband would have been sacked months ago.
Pretty pathetic that you can't see that @Kap10........

Have you ever been to Coventry?
If in doubt ask NLA he loves them almost as much as Charlton.
Worse than that, he's being sent to Goole
Has Clem sold his ticket yet?
Not sure mate. I think it's a pretty safe bet to say he won't be using it.

Oh help, I've been Charltonlife-ized.
;o)
Spot on Oggy, the battle was in Oct 1642. The 23th on a sunny yet windy day with the Royalist playing against the wind in the 1st half.

She'd love that, then order the execution of any dissidents on the pitch after the game, just to teach us a lesson
Why do you think they are digging that big pit at Sparrows Lane?
Comments
- just look at what Katrien Meire had to say about the over 60s:
An interview with Belgian magazine L’Echo saw Katrien Meire mocking complaints from supporters of 60 years “who know everything better than anyone”.
Sue Parkes has removed posts on SE7 Valiants critical of Katrien Meire or the regime and has thrown some posters out of the site for the same reason.
For the record - my age 69 -
It has taken us through the bizarre to sublime, geographical references and historical references from Coventry to tyrants in Korea.
We managed to get in a bit of anal sex and most recently a farm in Derbyshire some how?
All around a complete head off by someone who hasn't yet woken up from a whiskey induced rant (allegedly).
Wierd forum CL....
Gotta love it

Glad to see CharltonLife has got in to the Carnival atmosphere this weekend.
