  • just cause a nuisance in the stadium, the extra stewarding, would by far outweigh the revenue made on tickets, another thing to do is spread out all over the ground so they have to put stewards in every bit of the ground, whats something we can do during the game that doesnt involve throwing stuff on the pitch?.

Have a line in the NU bogs ?

Tickets aren't on sale yet though so the advert is a bit premature.

Strange thing to do, surely half the point of deals is to get impulse purchases

I dunno, you may want to get people interested in advance, get them to stick the date in their calendar
  • I'd hope that CARD will use such games to launch major protests and encourage as many fans as possible to come along and give the regime grief. Giving them a fiver is money well spent if we can make their lives difficult for the day.

being a non renewer I would happily pay a fiver for a major protest. I don't want to give the belgians a penny but they can have £4.166 if we can protest & make the liars life hell for a match

how about throwing the liar & her entourage on the pitch ?

apart from that what's wrong with throwing stuff on the pitch ?
  • This is the match to target as a protest match
  • So its buy a football for a fiver.... then throw it on the pitch?
  • Another way of looking at it is lets get as many as possible in the ground and make some noise and for only a fiver and show the owners but more importantly the team what support they could/would have with proper owners. Also of course an opportunity for good natured protests
Got this as probably my first home game of the season

Spot on. This should be used as an opportunity for all CAFC supporters to come, support the team and show everyone what The Valley could be like under a decent regime. Park the protests and boycotts for a day so that the footballing world can be reminded what was and can be so great about CAFC.

Every game every seat is a fiver, remember. If you *have* to go.

How? In all honesty i keep meaning to bring the GF to one but when we are poor dont want to spend £50 on tickets, i had the same predicament last season. I get all the people who want to stay away but i still want to try and get the better half more involved as she is not very keen on football and dont care about Charlton
Apparently many have been buying kids tickets for any seat online, printing them off and scanning them.

  • It will be interesting to see whether the mood has shifted by the time of the Rochdale game if charlton are winning games and we at the top of the table. It's one thing to have more or less everybody behind the protests when the team is crap and doomed to relegation, it's another when the team is doing well. Smoke bombs, flares and holding up play might not be so well received if the team is doing well.

If results are going well I don't think there should be any protests during matches. We all want the best for CAFC, and that is undoubtedly an end to the current regime, but getting back to the Championship is pretty key to that too. Granted, it makes the club more attractive to the current owners to continue their 'feeder club' plan, but also it makes the club more attractive to potential new owners if we are a Championship club rather than League One.
  • I'd hope that CARD will use such games to launch major protests and encourage as many fans as possible to come along and give the regime grief. Giving them a fiver is money well spent if we can make their lives difficult for the day.

So how would you feel if it went bandy at the game with that sort of attitude to turn up at a game to launch a major protest after the team is performing well and even the players are saying how the atmosphere has changed. If you don't like whats going on don't come, if you want to turn up to protest and spoil other peoples entertainment expect a backlash and a big one at that.

idiot. Few good results and you are happy. Support CAFC and its future not the regime and their team.

An idiot is when a grown man states that we can go to the game and launch major protests and give the regime grief. Take your protests outside the ground and let fans who want to support the team do so.
What is the difference in people giving "grief to CARD" and standing upto people who want to spoil their day out. I take my children to watch football and enjoy the not blokes who want to cause "grief and protest".

What type of protests outside the ground would not hinder the experience of people who want to support team?

It's not their team, it's our fcking team. That's why we get upset when they don't perform and we get behind them when they put the effort in.

A person can buy a club and own the players' registrations but they don't own the team, Wimbledon fans have proven that

No Wimbledon fans proved the opposite. Their owner and HIS team fucked off to MK. They started their own team. What they kept is the club WFC.

There are many fans "gearing up to challange" because they don't want your protests in the ground

Where did I say in my original post to protest in the ground? Protests before and after a game won't affect the team. And my 'whatever' comment was in response to you telling me to expect a backlash which I can only assume is you threatening fans who want to protest peacefully.

Sounds as if you know me.
A: I don't have a leader as i have a mind of my own and am not a sheep.
B: Sit in the North Lower with mates.
C:We will confront any protest that stops the entertainment of our children and enjoyment of watching football.
