The difference between this season and last season, is that other than holiday absences in August a much higher percentage of season ticket holders will actually be attending. The people who had S/Ts last season and stopped attending presumably didn't renew.
Doubt it. It's not (just) that people had stopped attending for whatever reason. It's that STs never attend anywhere near 100 per cent and never have. Half the shortfall between the announced and the actual will be STs and the rest unused comps.
I reckoned on a maximum actual attendance of 7,000 but expected a gate readout of nearer 10,000, so 11,500 was a surprise. Let's see on Tuesday. There will be no SE7 comps and 700 less visiting supporters, so 5,500 season ticket holders and I am guessing less than 2,000 others, so can't see more than 7,000. With maybe a thousand season ticket holders absent because of holidays or the fact it's a night game, I expect we will be treated to Roger Fucking Johnson on top volume as Slade slides him back into the side when there's fewer there to boo him.
The actual number that was in the ground yesterday was a little over 9,600.

Seems about right.
The figure to look out for Tuesday is if we drop below the BTTV 8337 gate from 1992.

I had a ticket but didn't go :-(
I hate you for this then, I couldn't get a ticket for love or money, had to wait until the Leeds cup game to walk into my ground for the second time (first for football)
