Best game I've seen from Kedwell. Zach Mitchell is a class above. Anyone who says he hasn't got a turn of speed needs to visit Specsavers. A good team performance.
Had to be the worst one sided referee I've ever seen at The Valley. Even the 4th official seemed to disown him.
I watched the stream other than missing the first 15 minutes or so of the second half. Mitchell in the second half, Asiimwe and of course Leaburn in the first each had moments where they looked so comfortable and powerful on the ball. Not surprising really when they're the three who are part of the first team squad.
We'll hopefully get Leaburn back to his best soon, while the other two need to be given time to develop. They remind me a bit of Konsa, clear ability on the ball, physically able to compete at first team level, but we might have to be patient and let them improve their consistency and learn from mistakes. Some might doubt them but I think they both have real potential to do well for the first team and play at a higher level in time.
Like Leaburn, Mitchell's out of contract at the end of the season (unless there's an optional year the club never mentioned?), that needs extending sooner than later, ideally before he gets a run in the first team. Can only assume Leaburn will be in talks soon if not already as a priority.
On the others I couldn't work out what type of midfielder Mwamba was. He made a few mistakes over the course of the game, losing possession. He then made a decent run into the channel near the end of the game - I get the impression what they like about him is he'll run all day. He's only about to turn 18 so plenty of time to see how he progresses at u21 level.
Huke was pretty busy as well but tidier on the ball. Right footed but looks very comfortable on the left side of CM and liked to get forward. Would be great to see a player like that make it in the first team, but maybe not physically powerful enough for Nathan Jones, he'd have to make up for it with running, aggression and energy.
I like the look of Enslin, as with Asiimwe he's decent on the ball and has the pace to drive forward with the ball. One to look out for, does he push on like Doughty or drop down the leagues like Clayden, or anywhere in between? Wouldn't be surprised to see him get a run out at LWB in the Bristol Pizza Cup.
Didn't feel Mbick got into the game and as much as we know he's physically a handful at academy level he looked small on stream with Leaburn towering next to him!
Mwamba impressed me, spot on that he could be a 6,8 or 10. Miles' injury seems to been have managed well, Reid could be a very useful addition, constantly talking, has obviously worked with that group of lads, encouraging performance
Playing well here, created more chances. Sheff Wed had a decent chance about 10 minutes ago after they carved through or midfield but the shot from the corner of our box was straight at the keeper. Other than that, no danger for our defence really

We played 3-5-2:
Reid
Toure Mitchell Hunter
Asiimwe Kedwell Enslin
Mwamba Huke
Leaburn Mbick
I have no idea if there will be any live coverage.
Leaburn dropped, injured, rested or available for the BSM Cup tomorrow?
Dixon not named either.
MacLorg back in goal and no sign of Tommy Reid or the other two recent trialists.
I assume Rylah, Gough and Laqeretabua are injured or ill as I think they’ve missed at least the last few u21 games.

for a second! Good pressing from our boys though
We seem to be doing well so far but Weds look a big physical side.
Wonder if Chris Powell is watching?
