I think the signings for our midfield will be the difference. There are plenty of keepers around that are capable and I think that Slade in general will make us hard to beat. I Can see a lot of goals with our front players, providing we have a decent midfield. If we get some steel and creativity in the middle, then I honestly think top four is a possibility. Will obviously also depend on the depth of the squad, which I'm sure will be adequate as our leaders have learnt from their mistakes .
Unless we can acquire a couple players to provide some creativity and mobility in central midfield, a mediocre season beckons and the atmosphere will become very toxic. In that event, I could see Roland leading us to our lowest position since the mid-1920s - say, 15th.
If we can properly address the gaps in the squad and retain Lookman, I think we'll make the play-offs.
Sadly, as matters presently stand, the former looks more likely than the latter.
Anything higher than 20th looks unlikely with this short-handed threadbare squad. Even recruiting the old russian athletics head coach with his "medicine chest" could enhance their performance to mid-table mediocrity. Doeshitalot must believe Russel Slade is actually Dumbledore and capable of conjuring hitherto unprecedented footballing gold out of very few lumps of base metal. Keep smilin'
3rd, nobody else will leave, we'll sign 5 more lower championship standard players and we'll even take 4points off "them". Honest.
In the playoff 2nd leg at the Valley, it'll go to penalties where Jacko goes to take the winning penalty...Nicky Bailey's ball will return from orbit and cause a miss. We lose, Roland sells all our better players and bans fans from entry to the valley.
Yes I had a half day and am currently bored af....
Where do you think we'll finish in League One this season? Or is it too soon to tell? Personally I won't be surprised if we end up in mid-table. The owner won't be spending much money so I've got extremely low expectations.
That's pretty much my thoughts, but I'll reserve judgement until the transfer window has closed.
Relegation would be the icing on the cake for this lot, and imo is not highly improbable as I really can't see what the plan is at the moment, when we got relegated from the Prem with Curbs, we sold Danny Mills for 4 million, kept most of the squad together and pushed on and got promoted, at the moment it feels like we'll flog anyone with any value , or who who is on a decent wedge, just to make the accountants happy, so it feels like we are on a race to the bottom, and a club in decline with no ambition, I'm not convinced we've hit the bottom yet.
Top 6 it is then!
No seriously I've no idea, but won't be surprised if we're in the bottom 6 , as the people at the top are consistently incompetent, and I'm not sure they've found there level of operating at yet.

JPT winners
Two decent cup runs.
Our only two defeats will be to Millwall.
with relegation and average crowds of less than 6000 the year after

This is my minimum expectation.
A word of caution, for rotational reasons we would need to lose the JPT final.
Will we be playing a goalie ?
Do we have the whole squad now or only 2/3 ?
Keep smilin'
