Where do you think we'll finish in League One this season? Or is it too soon to tell? Personally I won't be surprised if we end up in mid-table. The owner won't be spending much money so I've got extremely low expectations.
Don't be so pessimistic Jessie. Please try to remember this is the 'new era' and we have ambitions to be err...ambitious.
I just don't think you are seeing the big picture down there in remote China. Our top players had to be released because they did not fit in with our overall master plan for mid table mediocrity in League 1 and we had no choice but to sell them cheaply because of the drastic drop in oil prices and the inevitable shock impact of Brexit that is affecting all successful businesses at this very tough time.
Some customers may think this is actually a significantly worse status than when this highly successful regime took ownership but we must all understand this was solely due to unforeseen injuries and the unacceptable behaviour by a small minority of violent fans who viciously assaulted an important item of soft furnishing with no provocation whatsoever. No wonder we lost so many games.
Don't forget we have a proven English manager who might still be with us at Christmas and an experienced head of recruitment who might still be alive.
I just don't understand your lack of enthusiasm about the exciting new season ahead and there is still nearly two weeks for us to flog off lots more players on the cheap make some loan signings, get them fit, form a winning strategy and get them blended with any of the rest of the squad that have not already bolted for the exits.
The way some people talk on Charlton Life, anyone would think Ms Nightmeire and her cohorts were just incompetent, had no plan whatsoever or were just making this up as they went along. If they were that bad they would have been sacked long ago.
Personally, I will have to contain my natural optimism until we find out if we have a goalkeeper or not but I have dreams of maybe being in contention with Gillingham if only we get the right sort of luck and weed out the 2% of trouble makers.
If I had to put £10 on promotion or relegation, I would stick £10 on going down as things stand. If Tex and Bauer go, you could argue that we are weaker in every position compared to the L1 title win side under SCP.

6th if we get in 2 good CMs, keeper, Bauer and Tex are our partnership.
But it's guesswork, it's really too soon to tell.
with a few "decent" signings playoffs
A couple of weeks ago i would have said top 2, hopefully my expectations aren't going to go down again....
