    Why do it though? Surely another manager could come in and they'd have a shot of getting in there, also is Pearce really worth the sacrifice?

    You'd have to feel a bit bad if the caretaker got them to the playoffs, Wembley and the Premier League and then Pearce rocks up passes him the P45 and announces his own back room gang to steer "his" team to a spirited relegation....

    being a footballer seems to impact some people's intelligence levels.

    Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I respect yours, even though I find it a tad pompous.
