did a google search and this is the thread that came up.
  • Feels like Forest are effectively writing off their season by not having him take over until season, despite being 2 points off the playoffs!

    they can afford to
  • Why do it though? Surely another manager could come in and they'd have a shot of getting in there, also is Pearce really worth the sacrifice?

Won't the Forest forum be fun when their legendary left-back has them playing atrocious football in the relegation zone in a couple of years?

Always struck me as a motivator but not a tactician. I think he'll struggle to make a full year there to be honest.

You'd have to feel a bit bad if the caretaker got them to the playoffs, Wembley and the Premier League and then Pearce rocks up passes him the P45 and announces his own back room gang to steer "his" team to a spirited relegation....

And how do you know he's "dim" ? What criteria do you use to gauge a persons "dimness" ?.

General use of language including reliance on cliches and inability to express any critical insights whether managing or commentating or in any other context.

On that criteria, you could also add politicians.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I respect yours, even though I find it a tad pompous.

Yes, imagine Forest beating Derby 3-0 in the final, and the caretaker still not getting the job...
