Came through the Lyon academy with half of their current first team, stared at the Toulon Tournament along players currently in the French national side, and was bought by Sporting. There is a player in there, but he needs coaching and to be playing regularly in the right atmosphere. Think this could be a shrewd bit of business as it will allow him to play in a country he's familiar with, hopefully regularly, and could help him rediscover his form and confidence.

I don't think it is. I've never seen a defender fall over as much as him. He's not just a poor footballer or a poor athlete, he's got the balance of a human baby. Every time Sarr was on the pitch we knew he was due a mistake. Even against Sheffield Wednesday where he had probably his best game his fell on his arse and gifted them a goal. He looked promising as a young player, but then so did Luke Chadwick. Young players who start high but aren't good enough slide down to their level and I feel Sarr is a slider. I hear a lot that there's 'a player in there' but until I actually see a player perform at the required level consistently it's just words. Apparently everyone has a novel in them too.
Basically, everywhere he's gone, he's not been up to it. We can now add Charlton to that list. And not being good enough for this team is really saying something!
