Nabby Sarr completes loan move to Red Star

I think you may have misquoted him there.
'I'd like to thank the great CEO of Charlton for her tireless endeavours in bringing me to that massive club and her help in furthering my career with this new exceptional possibility.'0 -
Bearing in mind his speed around the pitch, does anyone really think he will turn up for the new season in time?4
-
Agreed, and to play regularly. Came through the Lyon academy with half of their current first team, stared at the Toulon Tournament along players currently in the French national side, and was bought by Sporting. There is a player in there, but he needs coaching and to be playing regularly in the right atmosphere. Think this could be a shrewd bit of business as it will allow him to play in a country he's familiar with, hopefully regularly, and could help him rediscover his form and confidence.cafctom said:Has all the attributes to be a very good defender, just needs the right coaching so that he makes the right decisions more.
The amount of stick he gets is at time ridiculous.5 -
Tucodean? If he gets as far as the pitch he will do one run to the box, four offsides and one bicycle kick to score a fantastic goal. Unfortunately that isn't in one game it is over say six.!2

Corrected that for you SD.SDAddick said:

ridiculouscompletely justified.
He's in my top three 'worst signings of all times' and I've been going to The Valley for 40 years.

Who was responsible for the Nabby Sarr signing again ? Anyone want to own up for that one ?1
-
Like bambi on ice.1
-
Another waste of money that can only be loaned out as no one would want to pay the money the club wants back on him.
Made Steve Dowman look like Franco Baresi3 -
Was happy to give him time until that night in Colchester. The Moncur goal where he was so out of his depth that he was forced to involuntarily sit on his arse.0

I wonder what Richard Murray's thoughts are on Naby Sarr, considering he once publicly slagged off Diawara, a Champion's League defender.0

Diawara - Unveiled as our new signing by Murray at a horse racing course. Kempton or Lingfield. The Red Robin said:I wonder what Richard Murray's thoughts are on Naby Sarr, considering he once publicly slagged off Diawara, a Champion's League defender.

Yet another of those players that will end up in the champions league and during a live tv match against man utd when he's playing a blinder the commentator will casually mention he used to be on the books of [insert any club but charlton] ...oh hang on, this is the Jordan cousins thread isn't it ?0

Red Star where .. Belgrade ? .. wherever .. as a few have said, he could become a decent player with more confidence, experience and encouragement .. let's hope that he returns to us as a far more mature and better player0

If he becomes a decent player with more confidence, experience and encouragement I somehow think he might not necessarily have returning to play for charlton at the top of his to do listLincsaddick said:Red Star where .. Red Star FC... They're in the French Ligue 2... Missed out on promotion to the top flight last season by a point so clearly have no intentions of mounting another promotion challenge this season either.Lincsaddick said:Red Star where .. cheers FA .. I thought that Belgrade, nice city though it might be, would be a little too 'foreign' for lil NabbyForeverAddickted said:

Well, he's out the door - I guess that's a plus.
But how many of these people have we signed on long contracts then shipped out on loan when they've failed now?
Polish Pete
Silky George
Reza Shitpot
Igor
Naby Sarr
And I guess you could probably add Watt to that list.
All that money spunked. Anywhere else and heads would roll for that, but.we know it's not the managers fault (who's heads have rolled) as they have had little or no say in signings.
So who exactly is responsinle?2 -
I don't think it is. I've never seen a defender fall over as much as him. He's not just a poor footballer or a poor athlete, he's got the balance of a human baby. Every time Sarr was on the pitch we knew he was due a mistake. Even against Sheffield Wednesday where he had probably his best game his fell on his arse and gifted them a goal. He looked promising as a young player, but then so did Luke Chadwick. Young players who start high but aren't good enough slide down to their level and I feel Sarr is a slider. I hear a lot that there's 'a player in there' but until I actually see a player perform at the required level consistently it's just words. Apparently everyone has a novel in them too.SDAddick said:

Great badge and scarf in that pic.
Historic club, hope we get a PSF over there as part of the deal.

The longest day I believe today (or so say the BBC).
Pi**ing down with rain here. So dark I almost need the light on. Truly depressing for the middle of summer.
Then something happens that lifts your spirits - makes life worth living again. And in my case, it's hearing this news.
I can only sincerely hope we never see this man in a Charlton shirt again.1 -

Basically, everywhere he's gone, he's not been up to it. We can now add Charlton to that list. And not being good enough for this team is really saying something!
