I want to start this off by saying I'm still well opposed to the regime and it'll take a lot more than a decent summer and a managerial appointment to appease me.
Quite a few people (including myself in the past) have called for Katriens sacking in order for Roland to gain back some trust of the supporters, now I know that she's absolutely awful at interviews, can't keep her most shut among several other character flaws. However, from what I've seen in the past weeks/ month, it is actually her who is trying to steer Roland away from his policy and has really been trying since she started. Now don't get me wrong, yes she's a puppet and yes I really don't like her, but I can't help but feel that get rid of her and a new, more 'suitable' for his needs puppet will be appointed by Roland. I can't help but feel that if anything she's the one thing that's holding Roland back from really ruining the club.
I know I will probably get sniped for this and if somebody has something to say to disprove it then I don't really have an argument, I just thought it may well be worth a discussion.

I see no evidence that Katrien trying to steer Roland, she has failed at the helm in any case, and compounded her ineptitude at regular intervals.
That was only last month and it was clear that she hadn't learnt to keep her mouth shut or exercise any sort of communication control.
She hadn't learnt that the club is seen in a very negative light by the rest of football for a good reason. She still thought the club is well run.
She hadn't learnt that she and the regime are to blame for the mess, preferring to blame the fans for protesting and the authorities for not stopping them.
At no point has she learnt that she is a huge part of the problem.
No doubt Roland is the biggest problem but her inability to stand up to him and she "No" for example with the Roland rant press release after the Boro game means that she's has to take the responsibility. Mel Baroni and Fizz Weller resigned. She didn't.
She has made mistake after mistake and not all have been Roland's interference.
Let's be clear. She may or may not have been lobbying for a change of strategy but it is relegation that has made Roland shift tack.
She hasn't said, in public at least, that she was wrong to say that every manager has been an improvement or that player recruitment has been a disaster.
I'm told that to agents reluctant to let their players come to Charlton she is saying in private that things have changed, that while it before "was all run from Brussells now it will be OK as she is in charge". The agent I spoke to still wasn't very reassured.
She's off to Portugal this week, for work, as the FL conference is there. She thinks she'll wow the other CEOs but is a laughing stock with them and with agents.
I tell you what Katrien. You go and I'll buy a season ticket.
Proof would be useful otherwise this is bullshit.
She is most definitely PART of the problem
There is plenty of things we can throw at her but this isn't one of them.
Just to reply to others, there's no justifying anything she's done in the press at all, but sadly I don't think it can really get much better.
Can only be used in this context*
She doesn't give 2 flying f*cks about Charlton and its fanbase and has demonstrated this within her behaviour, many, many times.
Roland brought her in because she IS THIS WAY.
There is no longer a sympathetic grey area of support for her from me. It's crossed the line.
She is useless in probably almost every way.
Assume RM would probably want to be the 1st one to admit this. Hasn't happened yet....
Speaking as a woman she has been the biggest let down of all. I was pleased we had a woman CEO. That eventually lead to massive disappointment as it became clear she is totally out of her depth and hopeless at her job.
She earns her money by doing RD's bidding and I am still not sure who is the biggest fool.
