Diego Poyet does not think Charlton can move forward under owner Roland Duchatelet.
The former Addicks midfielder, who returned to SE7 on loan for a second spell in January, reckons there needs to be a change for the club to bounce back to the Championship.
During Charlton’s miserable campaign, which saw them drop down to League One, discontent towards Duchatelet intensified – and fans want him out.
When asked whether he thinks the Addicks can succeed under the Belgian tycoon, Poyet said: “Personally, no. It’s just the way the club’s changed over the years since I’ve left.
“I don’t think there have been many positives, to be honest. The people holding the club together are the ones who have been there in the past.
“Obviously, there have been new additions that have improved things, but overall, there needs to be a change for the club to bounce back and really start pushing towards the Championship.”
