His Interview earlier in the season made him sound like a spoilt brat who wasnt getting his way (i.e. lack of game time).

This interview I really appreciate his honesty and maturity...

Part two with the section about decisions made by Riga could be interesting.

Perhaps he'll also explain why he was such a passenger this time around. I couldn't believe I was watching the same Diego Poyet as the one we had previously.
  • Agree with everything he has said. However Poyet knew what he was coming back to under this regime.

If there's any of that I'd like to press him on it's the line, "Obviously, there have been new additions that have improved things". Hmmm, I think that maybe you're being a little overgenerous there, Diego.

its always funny when players who have had a bad time at a club say things after they leave fact is Poyet you were awful and the decsions you made on your career were clearly the wrong ones. ...... Players who had good spells at the club like Fanni , Jorge T you don't hear from.

    Wum, he's stating the obvious.

I can rest easy. Colin's back to reassure me all is well at the club.

    It's not about that
He is clearly at an important time in his career his WHU days are over and any team watching him play for us wont touch him with a barge pole so he is trying to deflect the blame for his awful performances at the club instead of taking a hard look at himself

Wum, he was commenting about the club.

I doubt Fanni & Texeira are living in Chelsfield to be interviewed by Newshopper.

When are the club going to take a hard look at themselves Colin?

I actually don't disagree with you in regards that Poyet was very poor, he has certainly appeared to regress as a footballer since leaving us.

Much as I hate to type these words, Colin has a point in that Poyet's views on Riga are going to be some score settling given how he was dropped like a hot potato once Jose was brought back. As a rule, active players try not to shit on managers as you never know when you will cross swords with them again, but in this case Poyet can be fairly sure that Riga's time in English football is all but over.

Bitter or not he was shit when he came back, and has seen his entire career stagnate due to leaving us a season too early

Is that a graph showing how deep they can get their head? - is Colin the winner?

Have to agree with this. Last season he just didn't seem to want to get involved and sadly he made himself a bit un-selectable. Rather than sit at the base of a three-man midfield, he needs to find himself a club that plays 4-4-2 so that he's obliged to do a bit of running instead of a bit of side to side shuffling. He's a good player but now he has to show it.

True. Yann K a perfect example of someone who had a poor spell with us so openly criticised the owner.

Interesting thoughts by Diego, but I do agree with Colin to an extent, that players opinions after leaving a club do have to read with caution. Coquelin, for example will have nothing but praise for his loan spell with us, as it transformed his Arsenal career.

Players will always praise the manager who picks them every week, and diss the manager who never picks them, that's the nature of football.
  • Everything he says is true, his form in his spell with us last season is irrelevant to the point he is making, well said Diego.

There have been the odd signings like JBG, Vetokele and Teixera who would have been great additions to Powell's squad so I think Poyet is right in that instance but obviously when we completely cut apart the core of that side then they don't help much.
