I think Diego can piss off with that last one actually. Having a go at the foreign loan players but not critiquing his own crap performances is just ridiculous. We had some proper crap, bored looking players this season but I wouldn't say the foreign loans were them. Makienok for all his struggles was a whole-hearted, committed lad who kept his chin up through being booed on and off the pitch, and Yun and Fanni were decent players for us. We definitely improved when they came in. If you had to look at short term signings who didn't look bothered in all honesty I think you'd point out Rhys Williams, Sanogo and Diego himself.
If Diego's saying that given control he would have only played players who 'cared' about the club like him then we probably would have finished with even fewer points
Others like Yun-Suk Young werent bad either and he should have known what was happening as he came from another Championship side.
Putting them into Groups Id say the foreigners did better than the ones signed from British clubs especially as the latter include Poyet and Williams!!
Staggered they managed to get three articles out of it. Expecting a fourth on Monday: Poyet: "they wouldn't even let me have my old parking space back"

Amazing Homegrown players loaned-in during 2015/16:
- D. Poyet - R. Williams (Edit: Aussie) - R. Johnson (Edit: FFS, forgot we bought him.) - C. McAleny
Poor Foreigners loaned-in during 2015/16:
- Y. Suk-Young, - R. Fanni, - S. Makienok, - Y. Sanogo
Mmm.. Apart from Sanogo, I'd take any of the second list over any of the first list.

I think they should spread it out by each word uttered and they could make it last more than 6 months.
I can't believe how far Poyet has declined, a Poyet something like how he was when he first played for us would be a massive asset
It's crazy, especially given who is dad is. You would've thought that his old man would've been able to help him apply himself, because he certainly has talent. I can't say this for sure, but I would assume it's an attitude thing personally.
He should at least be playing championship level given his talent.
Pretty sure he doesn't have the hunger. He's already minted as a result of his old man - he made plenty of money so far in his career and I think he has lost the desire.
If we could get him back to anything like he was the first time round then he would be a good deputy for Kashi when he inevitably picks up knocks

I mean who the hell are Godoy Cruz
Seen them play twice. Premier league, but dreadful stadium. They have been trying to return to their 'home' ground for years.
Their catchment area includes the best Malbec vineyards in the world, which may explain Diego's decline.

When Diego next signs for a club in the Bordeaux region, I'll start getting suspicious!

Wouldn't happen though, he just won't knuckle down.
When he came back the second time, I stated on here that he wouldn't be the same. Unfortunately I was right.

I'm not sure what you're saying here. Are you suggesting that because his family (Dad) has lots of money he doesn't need to earn any for himself?
I get the 'arrogance' of believing he'd made it by signing a multi-million pound contract as a teenager but surely these boys don't want to be kept by Mummy and Daddy their whole lives?

Us normal folk get it - but a kid with a multi millionaire dad who also pocketed approximately £20k a week for a couple of years before turning 21 is likely to be rather detached from you or I
Too many footballers these days get too much when they are too young and this is the result. He either needs a kick up the arse and he'll he t going again or as previously said he'll end up in the conference
I never rated him, even in his first spell with us. He almost never got forward, instead operating as an ordinary defensive midfielder whose preferred pass was sideways. I had forgotten that Robinson signed him for MK Dons - along with other ex-Charlton flops Church and Green. Poyet shipped ten goals in a single week while at MK Dons - four in the league and six in the cup.
The Poyet we had was developing into a tidy little player. I doubt he is that same player but possibly still a better shout than Crofts as cover for Kashi, and of course a lot younger.
Now, I think it is safe to assume that he comes from a well off family. So leaving Charlton for extra money seems a bit shortsighted. He should have stayed or moved to a club that really wanted him - West Ham were just taking a punt. As player of the year, The team would have been built around his strengths and he would have started games - there would also have been patience and support if and when he had a bit of a dip, which many young palyers do. Forget that I support Charlton, it just seems one of the most stupid football decisions possible him leaving us, and all teh more suprising given the knowledge of the game possessed by his dad.

It seems surreal now that we once voted him player of the year

He was really good. If only he built upon what he was rather then sink.
For this chap it is simply a case of too much too soon. It's his own fault.
No one can turn his career back on track apart from him. Needs to drop any opinion he has of himself and just work the hardest he has in his life.
It seems charlton Athletic done a very good job of developing him. He left the club and then the wheels came off for whatever reason.
I think he was a good kid/ten. Then he turned into a twat.
It happens.

Wouldn't have recognised him by that pic either !
What a waste of "talent" !

Not a priority and wouldn't want him back.
