"It was revealed earlier this week that his son Ercole had left the club's board, while his other son Edoardo was suspended in April from all football activities for three games and fined £5,000 for or using abusive and/or insulting and/or improper language on social media."
She thinks the media is against her, so let's tell the world. E mail, tweet, poke any media outlet or journalist you can think of that would be interested in this story.
I've heard sexist chants against her and anti Belgian stuff. But as there is no Belgian race there hasn't been any racism directed her way. I do think some of it is ott but I don't think it can be completely stopped.
I'm assuming it was a criminal offence to forge her signature on the companies house resignation document?
That will be her argument.......
It is. But there's nothing else and this act has not been attributed to anyone as yet (although it's being looked into by a legal team )
As I pointed out recently, the club breached criminal law last weekend by selling tickets in the knowledge it was withholding information that might change the purchasers decision i.e those seats were now behind the Covered End Wall. Her forged resignation affected one person to little or no cost, the clubs breach potentially 1000's.
I think it is right to complain to the FA, in particular about her remarks and comparisons to racist chants. However, I fear she may have a point about criminal offences.......I'm assuming it was a criminal offence to forge her signature on the companies house resignation document?
That will be her argument.......
She would have to prove, without reasonable doubt, that it was a Charlton fan that done it. Good luck with that one Daisy.

Obtaining money by false pretences is a crime which I think is the point being made by @Bournemouth Addick
It could be argued that selling restricted view seats without informing 'customers' is obtaining money by false pretences.
Anyway @Bournemouth Addick is on home turf with all this so I'm sure he will explain and elaborate further.
It's a civil dispute, at best - a dispute between two parties as to the quality of "product" delivered. Entry was allowed into the ground, a seat was provided and a view of the match was afforded. The fact that the view - or the "product" is not what was hoped for does not make it a case for Court 1 at the Bailey!

To get a conviction, yes. But someone did it.
It's like saying someone committed a criminal act because they burgled your house and you saying "prove it". Well the house got turned over - it's a fact.
When you call somebody a bastard for instance- you have to put a word in there before the bastard. Now you could put a swear word in, but the norm is to include a characteristic. So as I have a lack of hair, I am a bald bastard. Now if somebody calls me that, I think the point they are accentuating is that I am a bastard, not that I am bald, but the language demands something goes in there. The same could be said is somebody calls me a fat bastard. It is unlikely my weight is the reason they are providing this critique but something has to go in there. So adding Belgian in there should not be seen as a slight against Belgians. Many of us love a pint of Stella!

Not really. It's like your house being burgled, you accusing a particular group of people of doing it and them then telling you to prove it.
Also, her saying that she has had criminal acts committed against her makes it sound as if she has been victim of physical abuse or something, rather than someone filling in and filing a form which had no other impact than causing some minor embarrassment.
She could have been referring to two or three people out of thousands. I feel insulted and slurred by her remarks. We are probably the fans least likely to run onto the pitch - why? Because the club asks us not to.
We also have people amongst us who have far more strategic and tactical brains than they do. When they organise, it gets done!

So in the context of said criminal acts, are you saying the person we are looking for is a bald, fat, Stella drinking Belgian bastard?
15 minutes set up, max of 24 hours for DNS to propagate. Then you'll end up saving bandwidth, cutting down on server resources and also have another layer of security. Even their free offering is pretty decent.
Ping me a PM if you want, I run my consultancy and personal sites behind CF.
Yep, this aswell. I wonder if it would be helpful emailing the FA to look into it as a fan? Will hold off if the trust are certain to do so though. Cellinos son was suspended for 3 games because of his actions and I believe Meire should take some form of punishment for hers too.
As it happens we had a conference call with Supporters Direct and a couple of people from other Trusts, re another matter, so it seemed a very good idea to get their advice on this. They will be able to tell us what the likely response of the FA will be, based on numerous other similar situations, and will help us frame any complaint in the most effective way. We got the statement out quickly, I think (despite two of us being away on holiday) but we will represent you better by making any complaint robust and effective, rather than rushed out in haste and anger.

I think we're agreeing mate - the fact that something happened is one thing (and I don't even know if the form filling was actually a criminal act, but I suspect it might be), but proving one person - or group of people - did it is entirely another thing.
Anyway, it's a slur on us all and I just wish they'd fuck off out of it (to be clear!)

Not in the EU, anyway Len. ;o)
No. It is not purely a civil matter.
The Which link I provided was a very basic overview of the provisions of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. It's triable either way with potential penalties of an unlimited fine and up to 2 years imprisonment per offence.
Reg 6 has the effect of creating an offence in the event a business omits material information in relation to a product and the effect of this is misleading. This is information which would affect the decision making of the average consumer.
The average consumer in the UK would not expect to buy a ticket for a match and turn up to find their view of the playing area is from behind the netting and poles we had in place at the weekend. The club knew they were going to do this and were under a straightforward obligation to pass on this information imo. The reasons behind the decision to put it up are irrelevant.
It's the same law that protects you from any business keeping important information from you e.g. the car you're interested in has been a write off, and was brought in to provide enhanced transparency in civil contracts by creating criminal sanctions.
Am I saying it's the crime of the century? Of course not but, potentially, there is some scope there for a criminal complaint to be made.

Interpretation of the context of'consider.'
My point was from the 'do it' perspective rather than the best way of 'doing it.'
I would agree that it is important to 'consider' the wording of the complaint in order to make it as effective as possible but, as a CAST Member, would hope that the decision to 'do it' ie make the complaint has already been made.
But that's the point: she doesn't... Nor, as CAST suggests, does she 'equate' it with racism.
What she does equate it with is 'educating' fans to not be abusive, and the fact that she cited black players and abuse - if you actually read it literally, she's saying when there were black players, it was them that made noises which is simply further evidence of her fragile grasp of English - was clumsy rather than directly accusing or insinuating that we are racist. I'm not trying to be an apologist here: I want her, RM and Murray gone but talk of going to to the FA is overreacting. Any solicitor worth his salt will tell you what she said is too nebulous and ineloquent to have any case brought against her.
Everything that has come out of that woman's mouth in the last couple of days has been manna from heaven as far as her ultimate demise is concerned; long may it continue.

Possibly, but it sounds a bit too much like me and I definitely didn't do it! Mind you I think I prefer Estrella now.

No rest for the wicked - even after the season has ended!

This. Belgian is not a race. I haven't noticed any chanting in relation to her ethnicity.

But in the real world we know it's not really "material" or "misleading", as much as we may want to think there's a court summons beckoning.
I'm all for giving them shit, but a criminal case would never fly.
