She's a pillock. Seriously, they haven't got a clue. Like, not even the smallest clue. Literally doesn't even understand football, whatever country we're talking about. This genuinely is a nightmare.
A manager who can bring the team spirit back, like Jose Riga could have.
But we need a manager who can be told who to play at the whim of Master Roland, and hold up team spirit.
We have asked Jesus whether he is available after the ascension day holidays across Europe last week but he says he will only rise on the third day, in accordance with the scriptures.
When our resident visionary Rolang asked 'Heh?' Jesus knocked him to the ground and walked calmly out of the door saying 'I thought everyone had the possibility of redemption and had built a whole religion around it. I was wrong. I need to go away and reassess, I'll get back to you with the new grand plan'
After reassessing his three times testing of St Paul against his meeting with Roland, he decided that ultimately you could see the difference between those who were basically good but uncertain and changeable, and those who were basically not good.
He deemed the latter as the fundamentally unclean, and shifted out the lepers from their positions and asked future fundamental baduns to be restricted to districts which had 'leper' in the title. And so became Melexis ( someone's going to tell me that having leper in your address is very common in Belgium here. My defence is a huge amount to drink this evening)
She obviously reads this site or gets someone else to set up a summary of anything of interest to her that is being said on here.
This piece from her isn't so bad in comparison to other nuts things she has said. She's partially right about a few things in fact, I say that because this is the closest thing to normal she has ever said, and that is sad.... but it's all just simply too late now anyway.
Is she lying about the contract clause? I'm 50/50 on that. Unless Wilder comes out and says how it is, then it's something that can't be dis-proven. He has no motive to be honest about the Charlton talks either way.
Openly admitting the discipline part. So a few players have had a go at her (had a few words).
It's wiser to keep that kind of stuff completely in house without giving any kind of hint. The fact that she admitted that kind of makes me feel genuinely sorry for her. It's just daft and almost innocently dumb. Kind of indicates that If there was a secret agenda to make fools out of everyone ... Then that is gone now.
She is too obvious now and pitful.
She may play a big part, I'm sure she does, but remember it's Roland that hires and fires the head coaches, she does not.
If she did then it's Roland's fault for allowing her to do so.
Roland is the bastard...she is the strange enabler.
I'm confused. Is it us, the racist fans, at fault for the demise or the players ? I already know it's not the owner, CEO or top notch managers to blame. It can't be the DOF or Head Scout as we don't have any. Maybe the Comms Manager ? Oh no, they left too. So are all our players ill disciplined ? Who's in charge of player recruitment ? Maybe it's them.
Nothing in there that's too controversial, nothing we probably don't already know but there seem to be people that simply want to put the boot in at every opportunity.
I believe lessons have been learned and we will recruit a British person. I also think Wilder was more interested in Sheff Utd (hence signing before Adkins chair was even cold). We have definitely got under their skin and they will toe the line - whether the damage is done and anyone will touch us with a barge pole is another matter.

Why has she not been sacked? The complete failure is down to her. Everything she says in that article was said on here in the first few months of her tenure! They won't change now.
Curbishley always put great stall in recruiting what he called Charlton players. Their character was just as important as their ability. Chrissy Powell had the same approach, often quoting the importance of it. It has taken this mob a long time to work that out. It's a shame they didn't support Powell, a hugely popular manager with fans, when they could have.

A fan of the Belgians are you?
No
But I believe they will do better business this summer. And I believe they will look to sell by Christmas. I just pray Varneys people are still interested by then.
I also think Katriens position is untenable - unless she surrounds herself with some very wise football people and let's them get on with the job and "report" to her. As soon as she gets involved she says or does something inexperienced and we are back to square one
Fwiw - I completely agree that the criminal acts and language used against her have gone too far. Visiting her parents home went way over the line too.
I know what she's trying to say about everything at the club not being shit - but the fundamental one - the team - has been. And that's where she's dropped the biggest bollock
All that said - I reckon it's going to be an interesting close season
But when you are dealing with thousands of people, you will always have the line crossed by individuals at some point from time to time. And some people will believe one action has crossed a line and others have a different view. I don't condone sending her dog poo in the post, but if one person does that, it isn't my fault or CARD's fault. If she is upset at the Naby Sarr song - well that is a typical football fan song and all fans across the country sing offensive songs! She is upset because she is in it. The resignation letter was done by one anonymous person but I still think it was original and funny given the context behind it. But all of us bar one had absolutely nothing to do with it!
I also think the poor patronising attitude and communication this regime has shown towards fans drive them to desperate acts like going to Belgium. The line has been, well the owner owns the club and he can do what he likes and you are just customers and just have to lump it. That drives people to put themselves out and knock on doors (including her parent's door). But this was not done agressively and if people feel helpless they try to force things to happen. Given her many errors, any self respecting CEO would have resigned by now. Are fans just supposed to stand by and watch as the owner and his CEO destroy the club we love? Are they Katrien? Do you seriously not understand?
CARD had the decency to warn the club what was coming too. Well they did nothing about it apart from deny the unrest and it will get worse. The tactic to get the cancer out of our beloved Charlton Athletic is to make the club unmanageable. We have no desire to do this. As a season ticket holder for many, many years I want to go and support my team, but thanks to you Meire and Duchatelet, I won't be doing that next season. The first time in over 40 years!!!!!!!
To be fair, other than the discipline comment which baffles me, she is saying a lot of the right things in that article. We'll see.....
Hang on! She also said:"It's disruptive to your business (to have so many managerial changes) and that's why we are now relegated. We had too many managers in a short time."
Whooooooooooaaaaa. Who made the many managerial changes - you did. And each time you did so you later claimed that the club had improved its position and results.
You can't have it both ways Meire. This is beyond a joke. Go on then blame everyone but yourself.
Every morning I think it can't get worse and every morning it does. Somebody mentioned soap opera - I certainly think the saga is now worthy of a Dilbert stlye daily cartoon in a National newspaper.

What has happened in the last 30 months to suggest they will make better signings this summer. At presant we have no manager or chief scout, while the other 23 teams are getting on identifying players to keep, get rid of or new ones to buy. You could have the CEO could do this but she sees all day conferences as more pressing matters.
Also you say everything else good at the club is ignored. The youth set up is praised and attended (especially finals)by fans. But lets get it right its very rare in the last 30 years we have not had a good youth set up, and unlike every other part if the business the regime has made very few new appointments in this department, any connection?
With ticketing a shambles, fans dissatisfaction at record levels, sponsors walking away, the media openly ridiculing the owners, ex directors being manhandled in the directors box, I'm struggling where you and her can see the positives
I'm clutching at straws here but could she have been referring to a more general type of discipline? You know, the type that means the team doesn't concede a goal almost every time the opposition gets a corner or free kick? If so, that kind of discipline, organisation if you will, is clearly down to either the manager (of the month) or poor players or both. In which case, it's still your fault Daisy.
At the start of the season we said we hadn't signed enough players, and the players we had signed hadn't played enough football recently and we'd suffer for it. At one of the fan's forum meetings she could be bothered with she pointed out how much the cub had spent and said recruitment had been great. Then in January we signed Johnson, who had been playing in India, Williams coming back off a long-term injury and whatever it is that has been masquerading as Diego Poyet this season. We then picked up Fanni and Motta who needed weeks to get back to fitness and forgotten men Yun and Sanogo. None of them match fit, none of them able to make an instant impact.
And only now, now that we're dead and buried, does she suggest that maybe we signed too many unfit players, like it's a dawning realisation on her. What a fecking idiot.
I really don't get this calling at her parents house thing being over the line.
She has declared war on the fans and bought in her thugs to attack and intimidate us and yet a polite call to deliver a note is so wrong?
One assumes that her parents will be fully aware of their daughter's natural tendencies to tell untruths all the time. I think one can reasonably deduce that knowing the Kat as we do that in her telephone calls home she has told them how well things are going and what a lovely time she is having.
Popping round to advise them that this is not in fact the case is the responsible and caring thing to do. In fact, one hopes that Roland had already done this as it is clear the girl needs help and he has a duty of care.
If the parents do not act soon to bring their daughter home, the next logical thing to do is to alert Kats friends and neighbours to her plight and hope that they can help in some way.
Seriously, we are at war with the club. We should not stoop to the violent behaviour that they have adopted, but we have to do more than just sit down in a car park and throw balloons. Embarrassing them is one way and this needs to be continued. Well done CARD.
There is an almost childish naivety about KM's approach to business. I have this picture of a child of 9 playing a football computer game and losing badly.
So, now, the policy is to definitely get an English manager and players with League One or thereabouts experience. And, of course, the problem has been too many managers, she says. Is this the next over-reaction? The majority of us would agree that an English manager is preferable, some proven League One players are found to pull us out of this hole, we give the right level of control to the manager and try to avoid changing managers three times per season.
That doesn't mean we don't recruit any players from abroad. It doesn't mean that the manager has to be English. It doesn't mean we have to sack a manager if it doesn't work out.
Is it me or is KM now saying that she is reversing all of her previous strategies? Decisions have to be balanced. It might be better to get an foreign manager, particularly if all of the English candidates are scared off due to our appalling record. It might make sense to bring in some foreign players. We might have to sack the manager if something goes wrong.
It's called having a strategy like any sensible business, but not being afraid to take decisions if the strategy is not working or needs refining. At this stage, we are a long way off from refining anything that is going on, of course.
As others have said, it could just be a smoke screen and she is sticking to character and lying. Let's hope we just don't end up with a hopeless English manager, English players that should be playing in League Two and an incompetent manager we stick with because sacking managers doesn't work.
Because she didn't get the job on merit and Roland didn't use fair and credible recruitment processes as he wanted to give her the job, she copies that in her recruitment. The latest is for the manager role. Doesn't have to be good but just British.

Yes it comes across as infantile. They have made a load of dreadful decisions, so now they appear to be trying to do a polarised reversal of all those decisions, without understanding what was wrong with them in the first place. It's like playing CEO by numbers.
Where is Roland in all this why doesn't he come out and say something not just leave it to his puppet, who just puts her foot in it every time she opens her mouth.
The biggest issue for me in this whole statement is the fact she's passing off all this 'feedback' she's had from the media as her own opinion, as if she has the answers all along... the distance she's put on the turn over of managers being a bad thing without taking ANY responsibility for those decisions is staggering.
It's almost the kind of thing a new CEO coming into the club might express about the previous incumbent that messed it all up and having to fix the problems.
A little humility isn't a sign of weakness it's a sign of strength. Someone should teach her that.
