I like Johann a lot, he seems like a decent character as well as a good player.
Considering Fraeye's reign resulted in not only a week of thrashings, but even rumours of a punch-up in the dressing room after Reza got himself sent off - I can't really blame him for being disillusioned and unimpressed with the turn of events.
He must've been promised something very different for him to have penned 4 years down, especially when he could've probably got a move elsewhere instead. I think it's fair to assume he's been utterly shafted, like most of us fans.
Said it many times before, if this is him at '60%' or him 'not caring' and 'going missing' then he can play in the Premier League easily if he 'gave it his all' every week.
He's been our best player over the past 2 seasons and if it was Callum Harriott posting these stats he would have won POTY at a canter
But he doesn't give his all for us? i do not care how he does if he goes to the Prem. In fact if he does very well it says quite a lot but him this season. Moaning at fans, never looking quite up for it.

My point is that he's easily our best player, and people who complain that he doesn't give his all would be far more lenient if he was one of the academy graduates.
He is Scandinavian, they aren't exactly known for their passionate, heart on sleeve nature are they? They are usually fairly reserved, calm people and I think people mistake his body language.
If you want a player who truly doesn't give a shit, look at the way Vaz Te swanned around the pitch.
Johann Berg Gudmundsson could not pinpoint the main reason for Charlton’s relegation this season – admitting many factors had gone wrong.
The Addicks enjoyed a strong start to the campaign, claiming eight points from their first four games against QPR, Derby, Nottingham Forest and Hull.
However, the club’s form soon tailed off and relegation to League One was confirmed last month with three games of the season remaining.
Gudmundsson says mistakes on and off the pitch led to the Championship demise.
The 25-year-old said: “It’s obviously been a disappointment. Last year we did alright but we couldn’t build on that this season which I think is really sad.
“Too many mistakes on the field and off the field – it’s just not been good enough.
“It’s too many things, having three managers obviously doesn’t help. There’s been too many changes.

I can understand how he got sucked in to signing a new deal. We made some decent signings, but as he said, it was injuries to all the key players and the fact that we didn't have sufficient cover for them. We could have got lucky and they all remained fit all season. Unfortunately the exact opposite happened and they all got injured long term.
Was in the players lounge y'day (by chance - last time I was in there was prob 95/96 season). Was told he left without picking up the MOM award. Overall you have to say he's contributed over the last 2 years (he did disappear for a large part of this season). However little things like this niggle at me.
Oh come on, it ain't rocket science. I really like JBG but I wish he and some of the players would show some balls. They get paid extremely well and will get well paid moves to other clubs. As football people they'll know this regime is doing the polar opposite of running a professional football club. Employing an amateur like Fraeye is evidence enough, even to rich footballers who don't really give two hoots about CAFC.

I think I like 'toasters' as a derogatory term better!
'Toasters out!'

Yes off the field it is a shambles but can some of those players look in the mirror and state honestly that they gave their all?
JBG's work rate and effort yesterday was up around 20%.
I can't blame him for that though. Getting top drawer performances week in week out is the manager/head coach job.
