Pope - 8.5 (MoM) No chance with any of the goals and made a few very good saves. Motta - 4 Poor all the time he was on the pitch. Disgraceful that he played if Solly was dropped for his comments on the regime! Fanni - 7 Much better in the middle, and kept Hemed quite quiet. Not so good at right back after Motta went off. Teixeira - 7 Solid mostly. Fox - 5.5 Average defending and some poor play when well placed; was involved in our goal though. Gudmundsson - 7.5 Good game and dangerous throughout, unlucky not to equalise twice. Diarra - 7 Some excellent play but dwelled a little on the ball I thought. Cousins - 5.5 Ran his heart out and got an assist, but his passing was generally woeful! Harriott - 5 Seemed like he was making a Tekkers film rather than trying to score some of the time. Lookman - 5.5 Similar to Harriott, but with a bit more purpose. Vetokele - 4 Nothing worked for him today. Lennon - 6 Did OK.
Overall, I thought we played well in patches, but some players were just passing amongst themselves to improve their Moneyball stats.
Motta - 5 - Runs into trouble, faffs and loses possession. He's no Solly
Fanni - 6.5 - Solid enough until the penalty. He's good at reading the play with the ball on the deck but he really loses his bearings when it drops out of the air into the box which isn't great for a centre half
Teixeira - 7 - Very solid centre half. I'll miss him when he inevitably leaves in the summer. Always looks so dangerous in the opposition box as well
Fox - 6 - Fine. Didn't have a great deal to do
Gudmundsson - 7 - Brighton didn't like him cutting in but his final ball was often lacking.
Diarra - 7 - The usual. Broke up play and supported the defence
Cousins - 7 - Such a powerful runner going forward, needs to learn what ball to play when he gets to the peak of his run, but that's something a lot of young playmakers struggle with. Enjoying his new role charging forward into the attacking third though, hope that carries on next season.
Harriott - 6 - Tried hard but short of quality on the day
Lookman - 6.5 - Dangerous at times but too peripheral
Vetokele - 4 - Wasn't bothered. Didn't go up for any headers he thought might be hard, didn't chase down balls he might win and was caught totally flat-footed for our goal. Won't be missed on this evidence
