  • Wonder if Hearn will put in a bid for Fury v Wilder at Wembley in April?
  • I’d imagine a deal will be done between Fury and Wilders teams before it goes to purse bids next week
  • Miller is trash and gets knocked out within 6. Even Dillian knocks him out without getting into second gear. He has talked himself into this fight
  • Great win for Craig Richards really composed against ball

Cheeseman stepped up in quality here Garcia looking very good imo

Unless he's got the best game plan ever, Cheeseman is getting his ears absolutely boxed off
  • 7 rounds in Cheeseman needs a KO can't even give him a share of a round yet. His legs look ok but he is being thoroughly out boxed
  • Cheeseman has decided to put a few combinations together here, first time Garcia has had to tuck up but Garcia looks far more fresher
  • This is a genuine masterclass from Garcia, I will be amazed if Cheeseman gets anything other than pride of going 12 rounds

How did one judge score only a point in that? Think Cheeseman won 3 at most.

I'd have said maximum 1 round to Cheeseman, insane how that judge saw only 1 round in it. Maybe he thinks being punched in the face as defence, whatever he needs to explain that scoring

  • Garcia has a bit of Oscar in him tonight I thought that was as good defence of a title that you can give away from home

    Brilliant performance

It was awesome, I bet if you asked him he'd say De La Hoya and Calzaghe were two of his idols
  • 115-114 !!!

Sad in a way that fighters like Cheeseman are great to watch but they need to get out the game for their own safety. They will never make it to world class but are talented and game enough to keep trying. He takes far too many shots and if Garcia carried more power I feared for him in the later rounds with the constant connection

Rds 3,4,5,6 I was telling my boy this is like a prime de la Hoya his movement and punch selection unreal

I did not like the way Ted tried to use his forehead as a punch bag

Dave Caldwell sating Fowler beats Garcia way off imo
  • It just proves the whole British boxing is booming nonsense just that.

Garcia, from what I saw of him tonight, is streets ahead of Fowler and Cheeseman and anyone else domestically

Cheeseman using his face as a defence is not the way to get better, Dave Coldwell, Matt Macklin and Pretty much everyone else who watched that fight could see Cheeseman needed to make himself move and if he did fancy being a punch bag he needs to have genuine one shot power, which sadly for him he doesn't have
  • It’s been reported that Eddie Hearn is trying to put together a Dereck Chisora v Joseph Parker fight on April 20 at the O2 arena. It will be good to see Parker have a proper fight after the Flores fiasco in December.
  • Seems like the AJ vs Whyte rematch will be announced tomorrow. April 13th @ Wembley as expected
Scratch that, rumours that Whyte turned down an improved offer of £5million. AJ vs Miller now likely for early June @ MSG.
AJ vs Miller announced for June 1st at MSG
  • I'd love to go to see that. Colleague is talking it up, and his Mrs has family to stay with. Wonder how easy it is to get tickets?

No problem getting tickets - I think it might even struggle to sell out.

I’m considering it too. About time I went back to NY.

Went to MSG for the Lewis v Holyfield dodgy draw and loved it.

I can’t see this being much of a test for AJ.

  • I'd like to see Miller get a good thrashing. Thanks for your comment @bobmunro I did wonder whether either was a big draw in the states, seems not.

A plan is hatching... My wife is having a few days on her own in Edinburgh. I can only image her response when I suggest this!
  • You jest but the Mrs informs me we are going to Centre Parcs that weekend. I could have saved us all a few quid with that package...
  • Flights to NYC currently about £280 for that weekend. Dross match-up, but would be a decent trip nonetheless.
  • Hearn said he's looking at putting on around 10 fights, all of which would be UK/Irish fighters vs USA/rest of the world.

Unless he’s planning to resurrect Gatti and give him another match vs Ward then he can poke it.
  • I’m looking to go to New York but can anyone help with an idea of costs.

I know flights are about £300 but does anyone know what the fight tickets will cost and where is best to buy them from?
  • edited February 2019
