I just watched the fight (admittedley on a dodgy YouTube upload) I know a points result is subjective but I really don’t get how people can say that fury won that, Wilder was the agressor (and that counts for a lot in the eyes of many judges) he knocked Fury down twice and it didn’t look like Fury was gonna knock him out at all, yes wilder missed a lot but still caught him and Fury’s tactics of holding on are frustrating and smack of lack of fitness and boxing skill. Fury’s front hand is so low that wilders overhand right was always a danger, yet Fury and his corner did nothing about it. Both very limited fighters and on that performance AJ beats both at a canter. I guess a draw was the right result .

Apart from the knockdown, Wilder landed about four scoring punches the whole fight. Had Fury by two rounds. The yank judge must have been wearing a fucking mask to score that 115-111

Maybe, like I say I watched it on a dodgy YouTube upload but at no time did Fury look like he was going to bowl wilder over, wilder was the aggressor, knocked Fury down twice and in yank boxing that counts for a lot !

No argument with that! The yanks do like the aggressor - and Wilder did come forward a lot. Tbf, I think Wilder fought a pretty decent fight. Different to how I thought he would - he didn't just try and detonate that overhand right all night. Just think if you watch it on a decent stream you'll see - Wilder threw a lot, but literally almost none of it landed. Fury is a very, very clever fighter. Evasive in the extreme for a big man. All his work was quality. I can just about see how a couple of the rounds I had for Fury went to Wilder, and with the knockdowns, you could make an argument for a draw. But Wilder by four? Not a fucking chance - that card stinks

Yes I will watch a better quality upload. And agree with your final comment on the wide scoring by the septic that’s why I think a draw was correct, and also AJ (on that performance) beats both comfortably .

Wilder was the aggressor the come forward fighter but landed 2 decent punches and I would doubt landed more than 6 scoring punches
Was a total master class in the rds where fury never got clipped in the art of hitting and not getting hit
Looking at the knock down Fury is lucky he was already falling backwards when Wilder landed the last blow. If he was standing still he’d probably still be seeing stars.
The difference in the judging is shown by one judge giving Fury the first 4 rounds, another judge gave the rounds to Wilder, wow, that is some difference of opinion.

Dont think this is true... Every judge gave Wilder round 1
Gutted for Fury, proved tonight that he is the best pure boxer in the division, the only problem is he doesn't possess that knock out power that the likes of Wilder & AJ do. Fury has to be on his game for 12 straight rounds where-as Wilder & AJ can always pull something out their arse with a huge shot

You’ve always told me and my brothers that boxing is about hitting and not getting hit. For 9 or 10 rounds wilder barely landed a glove on Fury, fury walked round him jab, double jab, step back Out of reach, wilder throws a swing out of frustration, Miss, repeat. The fight literally went that way.
Fury had his moments where he rattled Wilder with a few flurry’s, but stepped back so to not get carried away and caught with the big over hand right, a great game plan. Trouble is one will always land and they did, but as you’ve also always said, it’s the way you come back from being put down, he came back on the front foot both times after riding a minor wave. Pushed forward, shocked wilder and took the piss again.
A master class from Tyson, an inspirational man and a robbery from the judges.

if you watch the slo-mo from behind you can see that, although it looks like it does from the clip you posted, his head doesn't bounce on the canvas, he manages to hold it up. I think his strong neck saves him from the extra impact that would have finished him off. He takes 2 or 3 seconds to compose himself and is then straight back up
you've gotta have the utmost respect for what Fury's done. In November last year he was 400 lbs with a drug problem, severe mental health issues and had tried to kill himself by driving his car at a bridge. 13 months later he's schooling the 40-0 world champion in the greatest comeback since Charlton v Huddersfield in 1957
I think it was mentioned earlier in the thread but if anyone hasn't seen/listened to it then do yourselves a favour and check out the Joe Rogan interview with Fury- it's an hour and a half well spent, he's been on an amazing journey
Admire the bloke’s physical comeback - some effort. Can’t bring myself to like him though.
Maybe he’s changed but when he went on that rant about homosexuality, abortion, Jews and women I felt he showed his true colours away from his boxing persona.
No doubt Fury dominated the majority of the fight but numerically with 2 x 10/8 rounds against him I only had him winning by 1 point. Based on that, I can't be outraged with the draw as a numerical decision. The judge who had Wilder winning though was as corrupt as Adelaide Byrd in the first GGG v Canelo fight
It isn't exclusive to the US though decisions like that, Germany is possibly worse and we are not squeaky by a long shot in the UK. Promoters really pull the strings which logically I understand but in a sport where 2 competitors put themselves through so much and not just in the 36 minutes of a championship fight I find it grotesque. I would take one thing from UFC into championship level boxing and that is giving judges who may end up seeing the blind side tv monitors to enable them not to have to guess.
Of course that depends if the people who are paying them (the home promoter) allow them to do their job without fear of recrimination and not being given another fight

Hearn will avoid Fury at all costs and Wilder won't fancy his chances after being schooled last night.

Lloyd Honeyghan is about the only British 'away' win in the USA I can come up with off the top of my head.

I gave Wilder 3 rounds, even the last round Fury had won convincingly until the left hook landed
A draw means rematch which means more money
What I will say is Tyson Fury has gone through a massive journey and deserves a lot of respect
