I love beating Wednesday but only as much as any other club we play.....other than the Knuckle Draggers, palARSE or one of the big London clubs. This. We do this with both players and managers, and it is incredibly frustrating. The mixture needs experience in the England/UK and we tend to be light on that (or just have players who aren't quite good enough--RoJo), but you do need to give players and managers time to settle as long as they show brightness and promise. Very few settle in 3-4 months, but how many have we shipped out when they struggled to settle?
There are a handful of managers who you can point at as having consistent success in this league (Bruce, McCarthy, Warnock, McDermitt, Allardyce, etc.), but a lot of teams go outside of the "old boys club" and have success. Boro, Huddersfield, Brighton, and Sheff Wed are all good examples of clubs that tried traditional British managers, then looked further abroad (no pun intended) and found success.

We only won 1-0 in eight matches whilst Wednesday won by the same scoreline on four occasions that season, they also lost 5-1 against Stevenage!!
