Poor first half by us, we just couldn't seem to get going and you seemed to set up to play for a point whilst possibly relying on Harriot for the counters with his pace.
Second half and with the introduction of Nuhiu it changed the game and we stepped up a gear.
I still think we didn't play that well today but seemed to have eased to victory in the end, it's looking really dodgy for you guys now I think and you really need a Lenny Lawrence type of escape now.
Have to admit you look a poor side, I cant remember one save Westwood did all game, thats not a dig its just an observation
One last thing, thought Harriot was very late on Hunt and should've possibly been shown a straight red, he didn't even have the decency to see how Hunt was going off on the stretcher either.

Do you have any messages you want passed on to the Pigs when we play them next season?

That looked nasty, I'm suprised more wasn't made of it. The referee had a sensible game though, let some pretty feisty challenges go. Did the usual referees trick of ensuring I was aware of his presence by giving some stupid decisions both ways

I thought I lipread Callum saying "Oi Hunt, your name should begin with a C" He's such a card
Hello operationpig, nice hearing from you after all this time, I suppose we should have expected you on here today, I presume the next time will be after the next couple of games when we are relegated, do not kid yourself, today was no big deal, nearly all teams are beating us and by bigger scores too. obviously you are not a young man with your referral to good old Lennie.
I haven't been on that often but I do still post.
Charlton should have never sacked CP in my opinion.

I assume you are on a wind-up. A lot of replies agreeing with you, and many others saying what an idiot you are and what do you know

Can you tell Roland that, none of us have ever met him!
It was a very tepid first half, in which Wednesday's tempo was far too slow and Charlton were content to sit deep and play a containing game. Pope made one decent save from a header after a good cross from the right but that was really it in terms of efforts on goal.
So far, so good but Charlton's difficulty was twofold: first, a complete lack of any threat up front (Harriott was lively but Reza was predictably hopeless); and, secondly, the fear that a goal for Wednesday would prove decisive and that our resistance would crumble, as it has so many times this season.
Alas, that proved the case after the interval. Wednesday brought on the big guy, Nuhiu, and he immediately caused us problems with the odd headed flick on and an ability to hold play up and bring others into the game. I watched the game from the South Stand, roughly level with our penalty area in the second half and, regrettably, saw more action than I would have liked. The marking for their first goal from the corner was very poor and, once Wednesday got their tails up, we never looked like getting back in the game. A few minutes later, Nuhiu headed a great cross from the right against the upright, Forestieri nodded in the rebound and it was game over.
The third goal was an unfortunate and flukey deflection off Ba when a long range shot was going wide. In truth, the 3-0 scoreline flattered Wednesday, although no one could argue that they were worthy and fairly comfortable winners.
I thought that Popey looked assured and that Diarra and Harriott, in particular, gave it a real go. Ba did pretty well in the first half before running out of steam - much like a number of his colleagues - and we inevitably missed Jordan Cousins' engine in midfield, particularly once spaces started to open up.
Up front, I confess to being baffled by Reza's inclusion. I accept that our options are limited but this man is a total lightweight and a proven failure at Championship level. Riga must take a major share of the blame for our failure to get a single shot on target - as well as thoroughly depressing travelling supporters who made the long trek up to Hillsborough. What was the point in introducing Lookman on 82 minutes ?
I'm afraid that we ended up looking like what we are - a very poor side, with no real confidence, belief or leadership.
Something I'm quite curious about is players who have been here a while, without major injuries, like Ba and Reza, running out of steam after 50/60 minutes. I've brought it up at various points, but fitness levels for the season are usually done in preseason. I have serious questions about what Luzon did in preseason, and I'm wondering if after the season ends, Riga might open up about it a bit.
That said, Riga made plenty of tactical mistakes today. All of his subs were at least ten minutes too late, and even I could tell from the halftime subs that a change of formation, or at least of personnel, was needed. It wasn't forthcoming.
Speaking after the game former Cogi-training Salesman Riga said:
"Roland will be pleased with Charlton's improved bipolar perception especially in the first half", although he admitted the team's Axial ruling structures were not perfectly aligned "despite Callum & Morgan's assurances that they were".
"We need to work on our myelination as well & find a way to bring adequate emotionalizing into our game - especially at corners".
I'm not making this stuff up - this is all part of Riga's Cogitraining & Sensiball clap

As i've said all season Reza is not a player that should be in the squad, not this year and not next year in league 1 either, rarely have I seen a worse player in a Charlton shirt. For the managment not to see this is a big reason we are where we are.
It's such a shame in some respects that there are teams around us trying to help us and why mathematically we can still survive, however we don't have the mental attitude on or off the pitch to do so.

I think Reza will go back to Holland, in an earlier interview, he was making a barely veiled, 'I want to play for you'. It makes sense for him as he was brought up in Holland and I think has family there. Pretty sure, he won't fancy league one, getting clumped by British league one defenders. Happy Persian New Year by the way, Reza. Sorry, it has not worked out better at Charlton. Third time lucky, I am sure that the next Iranian player will work out.
Never a 3-0 game, we didn't deserve a goal and I didn't think much of Wednesday either.
Good solid first half performance from 9 of the players on the pitch, from Pope who was releasing counter attacks quickly to Harriott who gave the oppo alot to worry about.
At half time Riga should have seen that Reza was an absolute waste of space and got him off. The guy shirked a challenge, was bracing himself to be fouled EVERY time and had absolutely no balls or determination. The amount of times Cal went to press a defender and they easily just passed it to the defensive partner next to them because Reza couldn't be arsed to also press was embarassing. Cal then looks at Reza like "Help me out, where were you?!" and Reza every time just raises his hand like 'Sorry mate'. Complete waste of space, guy must be hung like a hamster.
Yun was tireless but is clearly a left back in left mid. A lot of puff and work but no guile or cutting edge, but instead does help protect Fox.
Fox put in a good shift once he got stuck in, good on the lad.
Diarra was an absolute beast and didn't deserve to be on the losing side.
Ba, good first half with some tidy play but then the 2nd just washed over him. Awful decision to connect with the shot for the own goal.
JBG was the same as Reza imo, he should be leading by example, but he was just poor and made no difference what so ever. No heart or commitment.
Going into the 2nd half we should have thought about knuckling down and getting more of a direct attacking threat, instead we just came out and let Wendies changes dictate us.
Very frustrating, if we had been more direct and urgent with introducing the speed of Lookman then this could have been a game we could have got something from. Their defenders hated pace around them.
I don't understand the fans saying other teams don't deserve their goals vs us. We can't defend set pieces, if they score one vs us it's not through sheer luck on their behalf. They had plenty of shots on target, we didn't.
I didn't go so I can't speak about this game individually and I can understand the flow of the play can be 50/50, but results will show otherwise, this doesn't mean they are undeserved.
Just home from a smashing day in Sheffield, spoilt only by a 90 minute period in the afternoon.
There really is nothing left to say so will merely agree with the unanimous comments regarding our World Cup striker. What a total waste of space . Along with a certain Mr " Bullseye " Johnson , he's a player I hope never to see again in a Charlton shirt.
Young Jordan was sorely missed and it appears that Lookie is only allowed a decent outing when the Sky cameras are in town....or am I being cynical ?
So, 45 minutes of faint hope followed by 45 of gradually dawning despair - that's my summary of today's match. Not a lot to shout about really.
Just 2 renditions of our favourite chant this afternoon & the news of our crash & burn under this regime STILL hasn't reached a worryingly large number of the faithful. What will it take for them to realise our terminal condition is down to one man ? Unbelievable.
We now have 2 blissfully carefree weeks to look forward to before, stuffed with chocolate & complacency we make our way back to SE7.
And whatever happens on the pitch, we have to take this & every opportunity to remind RD & KM that we will NEVER give up our fight to get OUR Charlton back....
I think I hate our blinded fans nearly as much as the owner We are a complete laughing stock of a football club due to our owner and his ridiculous footballing policies , yet there are still some who won't join the fight I suppose that is "unique"

100% relegated
It's mental. They must be the individuals the lunatic was talking about 'who want the club to fail'.
Riga's post match comment sums it up for me - a complete lack of ambition:
We know we needed to keep a clean sheet to have any hope of getting a point from this game and after that, everything went too quickly.
It's up there with, and I'm paraphrasing, 'We can't be expected to go places and win' from Karel. So often regime members are hiding behind poor English when what they are saying is shocking.
Well at least the rat will be happy, going down and Reza gets a game.
How that bloke is anywhere near a squad number, let alone getting a start baffles me, absolutely useless prick, mind you that goes for the rat and Riga as well.
Hang on they all start with the letter R and so does Relegation!
Absolutely disgusting performance by a team who need to go out and try and win every game. It's was all over at 2 o'clock when we was told the team. You travel all that way and and the hapless manager does that. Reza is a dreadful footballer and exactly the type of player we don't need at this club but yet he is still getting game time ahead of Lookman. Then he puts Ba in who again like Reza wanted away from the club.
I lost all respect for Jose Riga when he came back which is a shame as I liked him first time around, but he has gone on to prove he is just another Roland puppet with no shame and will do whatever that fuckwit tells him. Roland sacks him once a year but yet has him eating out the palm of his hand still.
Sheff wed were bloody awful that first half and were there for the taking like at the valley but when your best player is on the bench you have no chance. You would thought Riga would have realised they were there for the taking and made a couple of changes at half time and really went for it but no he left it till it was too late. Sheff wed manager realised we were there for taking and made 2 changes at half time and really went for it. Why can't our manager do that.
In a way would rather relegation was confirmed Asap as I think that my ramp up the protesters even more and get a few more people on side who haven't really let their feelings known yet.
First half we flattered to deceive and held our own despite a ridiculous selection up front, i.e Reza starts with Vetokele and Lookman on the sidelines .. then, deja vu time, we go behind straight from a corner and the team visibly slumps and caves in, they all knew there was no way we would score once, let alone twice. After that it was easy for Wednesday, even Maundy Thursday would have beaten us.
Decentish performances in a desperate losing cause from Pope, Tex, Harriott, JBG, Motta all tried hard to no avail .. Diarra and Fanni started well but soon ran outta puff .. how we missed Cousins .. third strata here we come .. the close season could be a horror show with a decimated team and a demoralised manager (unless we get yet another callow and hopeful newcomer) and executive structure. Let's all get praying for the coming of a sugar dadda or sugar momma .. I won't be holding my breath for that outcome.
