But if he wants to leave then why do we need to dissect it?

Maybe - after 18 years he feels hes had enough.

Maybe we will recruit someone "cheap and with someone with a fraction of skills, knowledge and experience." but then that person has to gain them. Or maybe John has a 2nd in command who is capable of stepping up.

I can only assume there is more to it than the complete non-story on the link above - because it's just that. A non story.

I thought his comments re the fans spoke volumes.
    What were his comments ?
  • I'd like to know what Tony keohane has done to annoy Henry so much. Scratched his car? Spilled his pint? Won his lady in a dance off?

I find Swisdom's comments that "The new email address - which I am 100% convinced will have been bombarded with the baboons from Facebook" quite offensive, and very 'Duchateletesque'.

You're obviously not reading it then. In fact maybe you are because my comment is derogatory against baboons in some cases.

It's vicious and disgusting a lot of the time - throw in a few self-confessed trolls and WUMs and it's a lovely place to be...
Once the filter gets rid of the swearing emails.
Mother Teresa would curse at this shambles.
They can take on board what the FANS who can be articulate, and only want the best for CAFC, have to say.

Perhaps a non-story in isolation. Bit of a coincidence that so many well-respected, long-serving members of staff have decided they've "had enough" since Mad Roland and the Laughing Cow turned up,
What a great name for Pinocchio. The original French - La vache qui rit - has a certain ring to it, too.
Now, there is a possible sponsor for a protest shirt...
  • Tony Cahones - the man knows fuck all except how to bully young members of staff, give out poor advice and to badly execute previous good policies.

Apart from the training ground, which imo, is the most important part of RDs player farm puzzle, what other positive things are happening at the club? I honestly can't think of anything.

    KM is a sort?
I take it you have not had your nuts in for a while.

John is a top bloke, I dated one of his daughters for Four years. A true gent and I know my Dad really appreciated him on a matchday, huge loss for the club. I can now see it won't be long before my Dad follows him out as well. Club is completely unrecognisable two years on from this shower taking over.

Holy shit, not seen you post for ages mate, hows life?
Hiya mate, I'm I correct in saying. Your Dad and JL hold licences (safety?) without which the club cannot operate on match days?

  • I have had a few dealings with John over the years and have always found him fair even though there were times when I was in the wrong and at other times when I thought I was being harshly treated.

Having the "telling off" meeting after coming off a ban is always a favourite of his

Always donated to our charity nights that we hold each year.

Over the recent years it has been more like a few mins chats in and around the ground and have found him to be a decent fella.

If I don't see him again this season and he will know why.... I wish him the best of luck in whatever he chooses to do next.
  • Last one to leave turn out the lights (because Squirrel Face hasn't worked out how to do that).

At this rate there'll be nobody left to shut the boardroom blinds at the next protest

That's why I ducked out of that particular nest of vitriol some time ago, I suggest you do the same Swisdom, it's much better for the blood pressure....

Worse - stole his favourite cardigan
  • I've only seen the video footage of keohane and not for long either.

Looks and sounds like a complete no nothing tosser to me.

The new email address - which I am 100% convinced will have been bombarded with the baboons from Facebook.

New members of the senior management team who "get" the fans and understand our frustrations and want to improve things.

The Target20k collective who are a great opportunity for fans to liaise with the club - but who again are being tarred with the brush of being in cahoots with the club.

The fact we have a manager who appears to be having some success at the moment (albeit too late IMO) but who is calling the shots more on recruitment.

Is that the same Target20k collective who only today have spoken of dismay at Roland's statement?

You accuse us of digging out the Club over everything but there isn't anything going right. And who of the 'new senior management' team' is on our side? If you mean Mel then yes she is and has seen the light. How can can even begin to defend this regime is beyond me.
Of the small number of things that were going better than shit - communications has taken a nosedive today.

Target20k - we're on the same page I think. They are a good thing and not just there to suck up to senior staff.

I'm not defending the regime - I'm just trying to keep a glass half full stance....though it's getting harder

  • We have a shattered glass of a football club.
Can we borrow your Duct tape Roland.

To part of the Sloop John B chorus:-
    La vache qui rit
La vache qui rit(-eeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeee eeeee)
Elle Katrien Merde, est la vache qui rit

    Please correct my terrible French

Looks and sounds like a complete know nothing tosser to me.

Ah yes, the guy who could not bring himself to say "Jimmy Seed".

That's the guy. He is doing a great job of smashing the club up. He is the sort of bloke that tramples over people to create his own empire and thinks that he is bigger then the club when in reality he is hiding his own fuck ups from roland. He knows that if a takeover happens then he would be yesterday's man

.....................but had to in the end & looked most uncomfortable when doing so which in my eyes was SO disrespectful !!
  • Look at the place where you work and find how many people there have 15 years service.
Then work out how many you can recall that have left (before retirement age) in recent memory, without obvious reason.

Your answers are probably "very few" and "hardly any", or "none" and "none".

I think you will find this says more about the owners/regime than it does about the guy himself.

I don't know him or anything about the circumstances - but I bet I can guess his reason for leaving.

Obviously, if personal experience has anything to go by, we need to discount those sitting right beside us.

    Or maybe that's just me....
