Would be great to get Roland masks made, a little similar to Alan Partridge's mask/ 'leisure accessory' that appeared in knowing me knowing you on TV. You would just need to dress like a tramp to complete the effect.
Looking forward to the gaffer taped shoe protest...
Hats off to Longtimeaddickted and his colleagues. These idiots employed by Duchatelet still do not understand the resolve of Charlton supporters. Once again, they have scored an own goal and merely extended the interest in this topic. Let us hope they do attempt to remove the posters in your box, showing the football world at large that their pettiness and idiocy abounds in South East London.
I've just had a conversation with CAFC telling me "its in the contract you are not allowed" and "Health and Safety says" and "We've took them you can have them back after school"!
Hi HarryLime, clearly they are paranoid enough to monitor this forum very closely indeed, so I think I'd best keep plans secret, (Oh god its that paranoia its catching!) But what a good idea!
It is good to know we're keeping someone gainfully employed at the Valley, bet they wont have a job next year when we are in League One and 3,000 fans a week!
A few of you notice that Pinocchio made an appearance on the windows of the Data Techniques Box on Tuesday night, a small and silent protest in the form of some posters, I have been contacted by the club who have asked that this does not occur again. Fair to say that their explanation was vague and had the undertone of a "we will stop it" threat, certainly no reasonable explanation. I've not provided any assurance and would expect a reaction from the stewards based on Health and Safety or some such nonsense! Seems obvious that a nerve has been touched, shame that!
Rather than funeral attire, I don't suppose you and your guests would dress as Pinocchio? Ive got a few outfits. Large and extra large. 10 of them...
Thing is, if they hadn't mentioned it then only tens rather than thousands would know about it. Incompetent or what (not that I am surprised), anybody with an ounce of PR knowledge would have told them to leave it alone.
Having worked for a major sporting venue for 11 years where one of my responsibilities was match amd ground management, which included all aspects of health and safety, I think I am fairly well qualified to say that those who have contacted Longtimeaddickted are talking a load of old cobblers.
I think I am a fairly laid-back and easy going individual. However, as each day passes, I find myself becoming increasingly angry with the dolts that think they 'run' our football club. I have come across a plethora of characters during my working career in two fairly highly pressurised roles - the first in finance, the second in professional sport. However, individually and collectively, I have never come across three people as arrogant and inept as Duchatelet, Meire and Murray for whom I now only have contempt. The day when they depart the scene cannot come quickly enough. I will celebrate it as I celebrated the return to The Valley, the Wembley play-off final and the play-off final against Leeds at St Andrews - as a moment to savour forever.

Breaking news......... Alan Pardew and Phil Thompson have sent their messages of support to longtimeaddickted and his fellow fans in the box on the pictures of their favourite Walt Disney character. Pardew and Thompson are standing back to back on this issue. unfortunately local workmen thought they were a Pickaxe........
And speaking of taking Threads away from their original subject... Oh dear. The Smurfs. Yes, they came from Belgium. Like a blue plague. And now that I've been reminded, here's Father Abraham's Smurf Song 'hit' of 1978. All together now: "Where are you all coming from?" "From Smurfland where we belong". https://youtube.com/watch?v=6DWOUgIBTis
It's genuinely astonishing how much time they spend trying to shut down dissent. Do some actual work, idiots. I can't help but feel the time spent dicking about hiring security staff to build barriers in the West Stand car park and sending stroppy emails could have been spent scouting better players than Naby bloody Sarr.

I wonder what the collective noun for a group of Pinocchios is?
A "bullshit"? A "Meire"?
If you are serious I'm convinced that out of the ten of us we could get some volunteers myself for sure!
I am serious. I'll have to think about this now.
What a load of chancers we have running the club
