How can he have become quite so average though. We all knew Poyet was too good for the Championship when he was with us last time. Now? He looks like the sort of player we would expect to drop with us into league 1. Except he has a contract and monthly wage with West Ham. I don' t see him in tgeir first team any time soon.

Diego Poyet is a 20-year-old midfielder, who two years ago 'Player of the Year' was at Charlton. Duchâtelet wanted to open up his contract and direct him to Standard. He hoped to put the player in the window of the Europa League. The player chose a move to West Ham United. There he got no further than two appearances in the Premier League.
Poyet was loaned to Huddersfield, MK Dons and Charlton in January hires him again.
