Jose calls Tomlin a cheat

  • Jose Riga said that it should have been a draw..

We did nothing worthy of getting a draw!

In terms of what happened after the pen. But before the pen it was even.
  • Riga's interview responses were masterminded by Karel Fraeye
  • Seen it in slow mo. Never a pen. Definite dive.
  • Does it really matter, we were crap, so whether a penalty or not, we would not have won
  • 1 shitty shot on target and the blame is still going outwards
  • No contact needed for a free kick or penalty. Attempting to push someone is an offense even if you miss completely!

    This

  • Whether we were crap or not the simple fact is that Tomlin dived. If you are running and pushed on your right shoulder you will fall to the left since that is where the added impetus drives you. Tomlin cartwheels immediately to the right. - no push.

We should also bear some of the blame since if you look at the replay you will also see fans in the lower north starting to unfurl banners in the eye line of our defenders. Great way to distract their concentration. Lets focus our displeasure outside the west stand after the match and as the banner on the upper north support the team.

Yes they aren't great at home but can you blame them when they are jeered and picked on by the home support. If we behave like customers rather than supporters we give Katrien cause. Leeds and Blackpool supporter have held demonstrations in recent years but they were behind their team 100% as supporters. We undermine the team to the benefit of the regime.
  • Never a pen, absolute joke of a decision.

Were the Brizzle players wearing blinkers?

They don't care about the home fans.

So yes, they were wearing blinkers.
  • This is the first home game I missed but having seen it on FLT, it looked soft.
  • Never a penalty, you get that kind of contact and 100x worse at every corner you'll ever see. Threw himself forward from what was as good as a poke in the back.
  • A clear penalty for me. Stupid challenge by JBG who should have left it to Solly

Strange that the highlights don't show the foul on Reza, I assume it was outside the box and the defender wasn't the last man, but I'd like to see it again

Ah, Reza. A 'player' who spends most of his time on the pitch diving all over the place or trying to get himself sent off. What a total waste of space. Only positive is that when we are back in the third division he will have fucked off!
  • It is amazing how many times this season we have had all the shit referees and all the shit decisions and no team in the 23 positions above us have not shared this burden. Just maybe we have a shit team with shit players who are not good enough for this league and get the same amount of bad referees as all the better teams.

I guess the problem is, with corners there are so many bodies that the referee will struggle to see those pushes as players are very clever at hiding things from him. In this situation though the ref had no obstruction to his view as the "push" happened right under his nose
  • Thought it was a pen, and thought we could have given another away, the entire back 4 stopped playing assuming another foul in the box.

But Bristol City miles better than us.

  • Bristol City werent much better than us... They were constantly throwing themselves to the ground whenever we went near them and were a bit tighter at the back which we can learn from as its costing us, should have been a drab 0-0
  • No contact needed for a free kick or penalty. Attempting to push someone is an offense even if you miss completely!

    As is diving.

Plus we'd have remained a point from safety and joint points with Rotherham in 22nd

I thought it looked like a soft push, but player clearly dived - but if it looked like a push, you can't blame the ref. It probably should have been a draw, but that was because neither team deserved three points from that rubbish.
  • José's fooling nobody.
He started the 2nd half with 1) an inept lightweight leftback playing a wide right attacking role, his right foot barely any good for standing on; 2) an inexperienced right footed teenage striker playing as the wide left attacker and 3) a bone idle self serving icelandic thief 'in the hole' behind an inept beanpole halfwit target man.
Chuntering about Tomlin's 'dive' is a tissue thin attempt to distract the willingly deluded from the glaring truth that JR is in it up to his neck and not remotely inclined to mastermind Charlton's improbable survival. Doeshitalot has put JR back on the payroll for now and JR is just gonna fuck about until Roly inevitably hands him his cards for the umpteenth time.
Poor old Steven Henderson stands alone like King Canute in the face of the onrushing inundation. If I were he I'd seriously consider developing a relapse of his shoulder injury to save too much association with what will be a most ignominious relegation.

We lost because we could barely muster a shot on goal, and not because of a was-it, wasn't-it penalty. And it would have been more but for Henderson. We are not bottom because of referees.

Bristol City are 4 points in front now.
If it had finished 0-0, they would only be 1 point.

The inability to play in the wind, (keep the ball on the ground more !)
and the fact that City were better at closing down than us,
were the difference between the teams.
  • In the modern game you can only bemoan the fact that opponents are better cheats than you are. Cheating is part of football.
