We're heading over for this game and are considering this boat, but it will be tight time wise as we are landing at Stansted at 8 am. We should have about an hour to spare but if our flight is delayed we might be cutting it tight.
For those who have done thsi in the past, do they serve beer etc on the boat or this a BYOB situation? Is it worth it? Traveling to a game by a boat has been on my bucket list for years, I've been waiting for Cork City to draw our neighbours Cobh away in a cup competition for about a decade so I can organise a boat trip around Cork harbour but with no luck so far.

If you've never done it before then I highly recommend it. Yes they sell booze, everyone gets smashed. Last time I went there was a ska DJ too.
Last one I went to was Brentford (I think). Left Greenwich pier at 0900, got to the other end around 1330. You have to make your own way back as no return trip. This is probably for the best as it would probably end in carnage..

Went to Brentford on the opening day by boat. Was a cracking day. Expensive as hell thought, was paying £5 a bottle of beer. However, it was worth it as it was a proper decent laugh.
Have we ever won when there has been a boat trip ?
Yes. We hired two boats when we beat Norwich at Easter in 2005 (Matty Svensson in the last minute).
Remember we were festooned in Charlton flags and as we went passed the Queen of Iceni full of Charlton fans singing "Red Army" we responded with "Red Navy".

How many drinks did you have on that boat? We lost that game 1-0, Svensson scored for Norwich.

I done this once when out in Venice and saw Venezia play. The away fans were given a seperate boat with an escort.
The boat for Fulham away this weekend is still sailing... Tickets are available and over 200 already sold. All profits this time as there is no protest/fund will go to Charlton Upbeats... Anyone interested send me a message and I'll pass on details for you to book ya tickets.
Couldn’t see a thread for Brentford, but was booked on the boat for this Friday. Meant to be 25c in London. Would have been a perfect day for a session on the Thames.

Mate, from the experience I had a few years back (I think it was Brentford) these boat trips are not for kids.

There's a good tune to make up a new football chant with Charlton words.
And the dance to celebrate our win!
Day Boat to Fulham.
