Draws are losses at this point. There can't be many more weeks where all the teams around us also fail to pick up the points they need so we need to take advantage soon with some wins. With our goal difference we need to catch up two wins on the rest and then progress from there. Nice to see Watt & Vetokele. Confusing to see Bergdich.
Better than we've played for some months, but ultimately not quite enough. It looked like the fight was back in the team which had been lacking under KF. Positive signs that Riga can turn it around - the question is whether he can do it quickly enough. I think we will stay up. Just.
A draw is a step in the right direction, don't forget the clubs around us are also finding it hard to get three points,I think we will just about scrape enough points to stay up
Johnson and Poyet not in starting 11. Williams not in squad. We got a point. Shows the players we have needed a kick up the arse. Also Tex much needed in Diarra's absence. I have faith that Jose can save us. We need a potent midfielder and another striker.
Blackburn dirty and cynical. Every throw in Charlton half was a long throw. Stronger ref would have booked their two centre halves. Vetokele took a kicking.
A point at home against another struggling team is just not enough .. still, the comments indicate that this was a decent/improved performance and Two Gun Tex is a decent signing .. let's hope that this is so .. next week at improving Rotherham is a monster of a game for us
Riga has got some shape and belief back into the team. He never stopped conducting things on the touch line. Our new centre half is Bauer mark 2, very composed and Harry looked calm alongside him.
Cousins worked his socks off in the second half as JJ started to flag and Watt was, well Watt. Trying it on with the ref, taking on too many opponents and still managing to create a buzz every time he got the ball. Igor was good too and forced their keeper into a good save.
Thought Harriott should have come on a little earlier as their two CBs appeared rattled. Maybe Riga forgot he was on the bench given he was missed off the line up in the programme!!!
Rhodes scored of course in a minute of extra time when neither physio had been on the pitch.
We are ok today. Blackburn were similar. I can't really criticise anyone's performance. It was committed and positive. There was much more cohesiveness and the players knew their roles. Riga was cajoling and directing from the side but in a calm and sensible way and seemed to trust he players on the pitch to do their job. Watt was better than he was before he left for a bit. Some wonderful runs and laid it off a bit earlier. Seemed to be fitter than before. Fox had his best game for a long time and Bergdich didn't disgrace himself. With Cousins and Jackson in the middle you may not get guile and craft it you get absolute commitment and graft. The goal was annoying being so close to half time and their first real attack down that side. Blackburn's tactics were to get throw ins down our right. Their centre backs were allowed too often to be overphysical. All in all an improvement without there being any more real optimism.
don't remember either keeper having to make a save.
yes we looked better but we need to be beating teams like Blackburn who really didn't offer much.
thought the man in the middle was another in a long line of piss poor excuses for a referee. wouldn't allow any form of physical contact, the stupid little fat bastard.
A bright opening half hour but our energy levels and confidence seemed to dip as the game wore on and a draw was a fair result in the end. We certainly didn't do enough to win it and I can only recall one shot on target in the second half. There was too much long ball in the second half (which played into their hands) and, once again, we lacked any real creativity in midfield.
Lennon and Tex were a massive improvement on last week's shambles and the first step must be to stop shipping goals. Tony Watt had some moments of magic (mixed with occasional ball hogging), Igor understandably ran out of steam (and watook some stick from their giant centre backs) and Gudmundsson was utterly anonymous.
Certainly an improvement but, if we can't beat a mediocre side like Blackburn at home, it's very hard to see where the wins we need are going to come from.
Best I have seen Vetokele play, which considering he has just come back from injury is fantastic. Probably the main stand out thing.
Moments of brilliance from Watt but constantly moaning at his own players. His quality shines but his attitude is shite.
Fox battled constantly, Bergdich kept selling him short, for their goal Fox had two people he had to mark, and wasn't able to take both, although he so nearly got to their cross. No one was supporting him going forward and it's so frustrating, Solly has so much support on his side.
Bergdich is about as good as when Harriott was shite (has he actually got better or are we just a lot worse?)
Centre backs played well. Impressed, and Teixiera could prove to be a decent signing.
A win today really would have turned us around in terms of morale, but a point is a point and its a way forward.
Not a bad performance, but was frustrating that we looked like settling for a point so early on. I felt we could have gone on to win it with two fresh attacking players subbed on. However Henderson started very deliberately taking his time and all of the impetus drained away. Once Blackburn also clearly decided that a draw was enough, that was that.
Definitely there for the taking but for all our effort (and they did put a shift in) we never really troubled their keeper, nor they ours. Watt looked fitter on his return and needs to make some better choices at times but was the only one who really troubled them at the back. Jacko blowing out his backside for the last 25 so would have been good to see some fresh legs in the centre but when you look at the bench you see why JR didn't do that.
Hopefully the rot's stopped but 2 points dropped really.
Little steps now. A point is a point although not really good enough in terms of points needed but so important in slowly getting the confidence back. That is the key imo. I believe we have the players but the lack of structure and management over the past few months has taken its toll. Hopefully Riga can turn it around. The next few games are critical.
Much better performance with a significant change in commitment. With a couple of sensible additions, Lookman and Diarra back soon we may have a slight chance of staying up.
Even more at the protest including a lot of women and children. Well done CARD, momentum is building.
A small step in the right direction. If we can get Diarra, Bauer, Kashi back soon then we will begin to win games. A win at Rotherham will be huge if we can get it. 100% improvement after the previous 3 disasters.
Played pretty well in the first half particularly, except for the inevitable goal for them just before half time. Ref was terrible. Played some nice passing stuff at times. Thought Tex was very good and shored up the defence. Vetokele on his way back to his previous form and Gudmundson looked more up for it. Watt - so exciting but also so frustrating at times when he takes too long to pass - but think that was his last game for us if the way he gave his shirt away at the end was anything to go by. If it is and he has been sold - hope they reinvest the money wisely...
Also - not sure the "We want Roland out" chant as we were lining up an attacking free kick really did much to support the team - more of a distraction...yes we want a change but the chants against the regime shouldn't happen during the game - they should be chants supporting the team - IMO.

I've got a feeling Kashi is the new Moussa injury wise.
JBG needs to sort his own form out before sulking that Watt is a greedy fecker. Yes Watt is greedy with the ball and can be frustrating but JBG has been missing for most of the season. As fans we are not asking them to be best mates off the pitch but for 90 mins on a saturday we need both to put their differences aside and play as team mates on the pitch.
Think we missed a trick not sending Mak on towards the end to disrupt their centre half's.
WATT showed why our owners don't have a clue. He looked fitter and made things happen. Madness we loaned him out and wouldn't have even played today but for Cardiff embargo.
Jorge was solid. Need Bauer and Diarra back. Igor looked lively and quicker than he has for a while. Next two games will decide our fate

Up the protest.

Can't see this team winning games.
Felt like a missed opportunity to pick up a win, but in the context of recent results was still a step in the right direction.
Main concern was that we didn't create much, and there will be harder games to come.
