Think the leaving in a laundry basket story, whilst hilarious, is untrue... Paul Green or whatever his name is (from the news hopper I think) has tweeted saying Murray Karel and Katrien in deep discussion in a room at the ground!
What an absolute shower of shit. Totally outplayed by a team at or near the bottom of League 1.
Fraeye has this amazing ability, to once again, make our opposition, look like Barcelona.
Pope kept us in it. We should have lost by 4.
Pope was excellent and Poyet stood out as the only Charlton player capable of keeping the ball and passing to a red shirt (as expected).
Regan-Cooke is not ready for the first team. Fox was shocking as usual. Sarr was even more shocking than Fox. Johnson was slow and average at best. Cousins didn't do a lot. Vaz Te clearly has no interest in playing for Charlton. Reza either falls over himself or barges over the opposition. Makienok was rubbish and I didn't realise Moussa was out there for 30 mins. He made an 2nd later on, when I noticed him bottling out of tackles. Ceballos non-existant.
It was right up there with the famous Llera game at Colchester.
As for Fraeye, a clueless clown, who even bizarely swapped the full backs over for 5-10 mins in the first half.
I would put him in charge of our U12's.
If Fraeye remains, I think he has the ability to take us out of the football league, within a couple of seasons.
Thank god I am having a ski lesson with the boy tomorrow which should pick us up a bit. He's started to ask for Liverpool kit FFS. At least they drew against Exeter rather than losing.
I thought we should start 4-3-3 and move on from there. Not encouraging to hear we start with a formation that can best be described as
If this is true then why not extreme supporter presence at Sparrows Lane? And at the Valley at random unexpected times during the week? They might be frightened, but they're not frightened enough. Last week Rick said we have to make this club unmanageable. I have suggest many ideas in recent weeks, maybe I will have to be a one man protest, and expose myself to unrelenting ridicule and abuse. I definitely think a couple of 80 watt, 1500 meters megaphones from the public footpath alongside Sparrows Lane might be enough to piss off all the staff and players big time. Their choice then would be to come over to me and lump me, or complain to those above them? Anybody know if this would break the law?
Whilst i fully appreciate your anger, most of us would prefer it if you kept it in your trousers.
A so called "Interim Coach" but there is absolutely no sign of a proper recruitment process going on. Clearly Fraeye is not fit to coach / manage our team or any other team in the Football League. But there is no PLAN B is there?
Not one of our fans giving marks have credited either the Assister or Goal scorer for us.
Those two actually linked and worked well together at least that one time.
The only positives about today were
1) Pope made many decent saves, and looked a decent reserve for Henderson 2) We looked more dangerous in the last 20 minutes. A thought RCC played quite well when played as an attacking player (on the left, with Moussa on the right) 3) I though Williams looked decent, and more match fit than Johnson 4) Colchester Brewery beers in The Victoria
I've always considered myself lucky that I didn't go to the Dagenham game in League 1. Everything I read about it from those who were there made me sure that that was the worst performance in this club's history. Now, though, I feel like I was there. However bad we were that day, today was without question worse.
Right from the outset the signs were ominous. Johnson and Sarr never had the Colchester front two under control, which is quite something given that they were Marvin Sordell, formerly of this parish, and Chris Porter, who is essentially a Simon Makienok tribute act. It was difficult to pinpoint any actual howlers from either Johnson or Sarr, but that makes it even worse that they were constantly being beaten and having to chase back, as it shows that neither of them has an intelligent footballing brain. It didn't take long for George Moncur, Colchester's one decent player, to find space in the box to fire past the blameless Pope. And it was Sarr who was in the wrong position when he tried to intercept a pass in midfield, letting in Sordell to slide it under Pope to make it 2-0.
At right back Charles-Cook struggled, and without wishing to be overly cruel on a youngster I cannot see any future for him at this level. It should be said in mitigation that he was not helped by having Manuel from Fawlty Towers playing in front of him; Ceballos produced a display of such ineptitude, misplacing even the simplest passes, that he became a contender for the crown of Most Incompetent Person To Come From Barcelona. Unsurprisingly, he didn't emerge for the second half.
Cousins going off injured didn't help matters, but our lack of presence in midfield was staggering. Poyet must have thought that his days of playing in teams as bad as this were over when he left SE7 in 2014, but boy was he wrong. Not that he should get off scot free, as he did nothing to be proud of either. Colchester were consistently first to the ball, stronger in the tackle and more intelligent with their use of it. This is a side which had lost 8 of its last 9 games outrunning, outbattling and outthinking us. Congratulations Karel.
Up front we were as toothless as always. One cross-shot rebounded off the foot of the post in the first half, and keeper and defender conspired to block consecutive efforts from inside the box in the second, but a team playing against a defence as leaky as Colchester's really should have created much more. Makienok won almost nothing in the air again, Moussa was ineffective and Reza's sole positive contribution was to head in our consolation, fine header though it was. Special mention should go to Vaz Te for the most half-arsed display imaginable from a substitute. Imagine letting Watt go for him...
We ended the game being captained by Morgan Fox. Even allowing for the players missing today, it is telling that a player as average and inexperienced as him should be skipper of this club. There was no leadership whatsoever on the field, and nor do we ever get any from Fraeye. That we even scored today was an absolute travesty of justice, as surprising as seeing Sarr play two sublime crossfield balls in succession (believe me, he did). 2-1 does not reflect how comfortable Colchester were.
I commented after the Burnley game that defeats in the North West like that were a longstanding part of our history. Exiting the FA Cup at the first opportunity is equally traditional, even when we have had a good team. What happened today, however, belongs in a whole different category of awfulness, for which three people are responsible. If Karel Fraeye, Katrien Meire and Roland Duchatelet do not leave this club soon, we can expect more days like this.
We have two fights on our hands. The one on the pitch will almost certainly end in relegation. The one off it is the one we need to win.
Listened to the whole game on bbc Essex .The commentary made us sound dreadful and amateurish .They were puzzled by all our substitions and said team appeared to have no plan. So thousands of listeners can see our plight . Well done the chanters . They were given due publicity .Let's see how MOTD handle it tonight .
Does this mean that at the end of the season when were chanting 'The great escape' theme it won't be referring to fighting relegation but to our coach and ceo getting out of the stadiums?
Dreadful result but sadly not a complete surprise and find I have complete apathy towards it. The result is systematic of our many problems but Tuesday far more important in reality.
I think people are being over critical here - Fraeye and the players were on a hiding to nothing and it always looked like a classic banana skin of a cup tie. I think Fraeye tried his very best with imaginative substitutions and changes in tactics throughout the game, but it was not to be.
Square pegs in round holes. When will he learn there is no point having 5 forwards on the pitch if you have no creative service.
Worst performance I've seen in a while, don't mind losing a match but too many players either couldn't be bothered or were too scared to do anything other than pass sideways or backwards.
would love to know what today's game plan was because it was clear neither the fans or the players knew.

Don't think Murray was there.
Just repeating what Paul Green tweeted...
Understood. If he was there he wasn't sitting with KM, Chris Parkes and Mick Everett.
Did anyone notice the young photographer who seemed to be constantly taking pictures of the Charlton fans? A few around me pulled him up on it in no uncertain terms. Not sure if he works for the club.

Actually, I think Blackadder would currently improve things.
Arrived home about 45 min ago and scrambled eggs on toast & a cuppa later, am still mulling over the events of today.
6 of us met up in the Beefeater near the station at 12.30 for a bite of lunch accompanied by 2 bottles of wine ( and a 2 for 1 mains voucher!) and the chance to discuss what had been happening over the past week. RM's "statement" & the return of the prodigal sons was on the agenda amongst other issues as we enjoyed our meals.
Only 5 of us are Addicks , the 6th being a sensible lady who was going shopping whilst we wasted our afternoon at the match and of that 5, I stood out as being the most committed to the protests/their aim. Of the other 4, 3 are seriously bending in my direction (?) whilst the other, who sometimes posts on here and is a high profile supporter, tries to see both sides....For him , the arrival of Diego, Rojo & Rhys are symbolic of the (belated)new level of understanding that has allegedly recently dawned on RD & co ie that our squad is threadbare & totally unbalanced with a severe dearth of Championship experienced players. He also spoke of the rumour concerning the return of a certain Mr Bent ( NOT Old Blue Eyes) and the outside chance of our original Beast coming home....He also felt that RD won't sell at any price until his "work" is done, quoting KM's conversation with him a year or more ago when she stated that her Puppet Master is definitely in it for the long haul . And, as such , he believes that no amount of protesting will have any bearing on our ownership but , that the best we could hope for would be for RD to soften his rigid approach to issues such as his choice of coach/manager.
Then, on the concourse, I spoke with a guy we know from SL, who seemed surprised to see my black & white scarf. He was full of praise for what is taking place at the Trg Ground and told me the players are happy with KF and that they" enjoy their training" under his supervision.
From then onwards, the day took a turn for the worse.....the match kicked off.
I take no pleasure from saying that this was a shambles of a performance from the boys in red. 2 new players in the starting eleven , plus Moussa who has hardly featured previously this season, young RCC who was one of the few decent players but with limited minutes under his belt and Ceballos , only just returned from injury.....Could this be the start of a wonderful Cup run ?
Sadly, our fragile hopes were dashed once again as it became apparent that a hard working Colchester side had the measure of us, and that, aided by some kamikaze play from our lads, there would only be one winner. The early loss of young Jordan didn't help and those of us travelling to Yorkshire (twice) next week will wonder whether yet another of our more dependable players will make the trip. The poor performance naturally fuelled the fire of those standing up to make their protests against the current regime on a day when KF & co might have allowed us one , much needed victory and a boost to the playing side to boot. Sadly, any remaining confidence must have been further eroded this afternoon and the boos that rang out at the final whistle left no-one on the pitch in any doubt as to the feelings of the majority of our fans.
As always, I don't blame the players....I have grave concerns as to what this current situation is doing to their heads. It's a sure fire recipe for disaster with the ingredients of an inexperienced coach, a mish mash of players lacking in game time, fitness, motivation & in some cases, little knowledge of their colleagues on the pitch , all the direct result of a weird experiment by an even weirder owner. It beggars belief that a well run, well regarded Club with players proud to wear the shirt should have come to this....and sadly, it won't end here.
Another in our group today has previously worked with Peter Varney and I'm sure she won't mind my mentioning that she emailed him last week regarding news of his investment involvement. He responded saying that he was certain that his "party" would be a great fit for our Club but that it was all too evident that RD will not sell , seemingly at any cost. That, then, would seem to be that.
So, where do we go from here ?
Well, the obvious answer is, on to Huddersfield, but with each subsequent match, our heads, like those of the players, drop ever lower. We need a miracle to turn this around and after today, my hopes of avoiding the dreaded "R" are receding. Whether stepping up the planned protests and the further eroding of attendances at The Valley will have any effect on our owner or not, we HAVE to keep plugging away and encourage more fans to join in. And IF RD has any sense & recognises how damaging a descent into Div One will be for all concerned, surely the least we should expect to see is the departure of the hapless, however personable KF, and the appointment of a manager with serious , undisputed experience of the Championship at the very least. The very future of OUR Club is firmly embedded in the month of January 2016 - making changes of note any later, and it could be curtains.
If anyone can find the Belgian's Achilles heel, please note I'm practising my archery 24/7.

To wash our dirty laundry in public;
Skid marks and all.
A success because we could have been 4 behind

The Cherries won, and Yann played.
Don't forget, Colchester are a decent side.
