that was as unorganised as I have ever seen us, surely the players (not all of whom are innocent of underperforming) can see that, they like us need to make their feelings known. KF is completely out of his depth and his position untenable aaaaaarrggghhhh!
THE best possible result. What would have happened had we won?
They would have made the "manager" permanent that's what. This defeat heaps even more pressure on the regime and their assertion that we have improved as a result of their fantastic appointments and massive £9m spent.
And in case anyone's forgotten we rarely go far in the Cup. Even a big money tie in the next round would not have resulted in any on or of the pitch improvements - it would have gone straight in RD's pocket. But a win against the team rock bottom of League 1 might have given them the excuse to herald a false dawn. And January really isn't the time for false dawns.
So nothing lost apart from by those hardy souls who made the trip. If anyone should be heralded it's them.
Johnson on an 18 month contract. EIGHTEEN MONTHS! Poyet on loan so it's Ok to dip his toe in the water. Williams is here to point around and about for a month. Vaz Te gave his agent the Christmas present of all Christmas presents. Dear young Morgan Fox is now captain!
Pope- 6 shaky on crosses but his saves kept Charlton close to being in it Charles-Cook- 6 defensively overrun but our best attacking outlet Johnson- 2 rusty? or taking the piss? Sarr- 2 typically inept Fox- 4 not his worst by some margin but not nearly good enough Poyet- 1 barely noticed him we know he's fit so did he just not try? Moussa- 3 only ran about in the last quarter Cousins- 5 typical Cousins Ceballos- 5 looked sort of interested, halftime withdrawal a mystery Makienok- 1 inept throughout and constantly fouling, he makes Leaburn look like Shearer and Messi rolled into one Reza- 4 ran about to no major effect - plus 1 for the goal, really lucky not to be booked Vetokele- 1 puffed around in slow motion to no discernible effect Williams- 3 gave away dangerous free kicks, more than deserved a yellow, disappointing after his debut Vaz Te- 1 filth, didn't try a leg
Fraeye - plumbed new depths with echoes of Dowie, makes me nostalgic for Les Reed

No damage apart from the massive decrease in morale and the increasing divide between players and fans. That performance was appalling.
if Fraeye isn't relieved of his duties after this result just like his four predecessors who have all performed better than him then we know we have KF until at least the end of the season.
Just stop going to The Valley is the best protest we can make (Seb you are exempt). We have to get these people out at all costs before it's too late. A home crowd of Seb would make a very big statement.
What a difference to when powell took us to the quarterfinals with pride and passion Feel for all the poor customers who made the effort to watch this dross Rd and kf and Her haven't a Fucking clue
His post match is simply stating the obvious. After his morning routine at the mariott, when asked how his breakfast was he says:
Breakfast comes on a plate, or plates, sometimes in a bowl too. There are utensils. Breakfast is the first meal of the day, it has fruit juice, cereal, sometimes cooked food and toast. I eat breakfast via my mouth, and it encourages the chite out of my bum about an hour later.
What would you say to the 2000 supporters. "It was not good". No shit Sherlock, thanks for that. But the almost monosyllabic replies show he is backed into a corner.
Thought the radio London interview was brilliant. Great to have an interviewer asking difficult questions. Totally different to the alleged interview given by Richard Murray.
The taps in the men's loo were a class above - pushed the button down and the water came out when you put your hands under it - not before, like at The Valley - and the water was warm and the right pressure - quite made my day.
I'd like every player who played today to be brought in tomorrow to watch the entire game again and give their own marks for performance. Then come on CAFCplayer and explain why they think they got that score and if they think that it was good effort.
The club should refund everyone for their ticket today and pay for their ticket to an upcoming away game. They could give away 40,000 free home tickets to each game and still we wouldn't manage project 20,000.
Just bought my Black and White scarves for all family to wear to Hull game.
That was absolutely shocking. You would think we were still a League One side. In the last 15 years of supporting Charlton I've never felt so sad about the state of the club as I did sitting there at the end of the game, looking at our broken players staring into the sea of supporters each one with bitter anger on their faces. Tears were coming into my eyes.
Tried to clap the players as I always believe that negativity towards them is the worst possible thing to do, but today it was just so hard. Still feel absolutely miserable.
As I currently live in Colchester I was on their shuttle bus service with all the Colchester fans going back into town after the game, and heard some of them saying we're the worst side they've seen all season. They're currently second bottom of league one with the worst defence in the league.
Johnson struggled to get in the Indian team Pube City (or whatever they're called) so not sure what some were expecting him to do at this level of English football. Baffled that you've given him an 18 mth contract. Mental.

Sorry but what happened at that Sheff U game was another where we rolled over - pride and passion was only shown by the fans on the day !

No Karel you're not Super and you never were.

Thanks @3blokes
You've made me laugh because it's tragic, it's funny and it's true.
Have a lol on me.

Anything else is up to the board.
Open door to push at I would've thought.

Karel lost us that game, tactically clueless with no midfield we had to lump it up to the 4 forwards.
Him renaming manager is an insult to all Charlton fans who pay good money to watch the dross he serves up.
Get out of our club Karel, Meire, Roland the rate and Judus Murray scum bags the lot of you.

Bleak.
