What do we do now?

  • Seriously now, we've got to do something. I thought that would be bad, but I didn't think it would be that bad. Action has to be taken, smartly, sensibly and within the law before anyone suggests anything stupid but we are going to have to amp this up big time.

The first thing we need to do is shoot the 'fans' there tonight.
  • I suggest we get something arranged for Birmingham.

    A) we're behind the goal where there will be ample empty seats to lay out flags and banners.

    B) the angle of the camera means everything will be captured on TV.

    C) it will help get additional media attention ahead of the Ipswich game.
  • I'm with Bart, watch the vid and take on the feedback
  • Exactly where were the questions we all wanted asking ? Can anyone explain why they were not asked ?

And that is a very good question.
  • Which stand and part of stand will get most coverage on Sky Sports and is there a part they definitely can't avoid showing during the live coverage? This is one line of attack.

West Stand Lower, in front of squirrel face.

Well we can't do much else can we. Anybody really think the horror movie will be any better than what the tweets were ? No of course not but I suppose at least we get to sleep on it.

  • The argument is lost when it becomes personal abuse, this fight wont be won by anger and angry reactions,

When I coached football I installed what I learnt whilst growing up a calm fighter beats an angry fighter, you need to keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs

Just on this thread alone the anger is coming out and the battle being lost,

    totally agree
  • I agree with @AFKABatram, lets hold off until we see the video and full reports from those there, I'm not saying tweets aren't right but lets see for ourselves, and if, as I suspect, the meeting was as bad as it sounds then action needs to be coordinated and something that will get press attention. Sadly, I think we are screwed with this mob, BUT whatever we do must be legal and non-violent, otherwise we lose the argument.

Which is what I said in the original post to avoid anyone suggesting something silly like "let's find out where she lives"....

  • Ipswich at home on sky is a perfect oppurtunity for this protest to gather pace in front of the cameras. Good chance we might be on the box again this season so must make the most of it.
  • The players deserve our support, so any protest has to be before, after or at half time!!!!

So it was you calling her names!

    100% agree.

And I don't want to boycott games. I want to get behind my team.

But a very loud protest before the game then a co-ordinated boycott of the first 10 minutes would work for me.
    That's an equally good idea.

  • Do it week in week out till you are heard they can't stop you from entering the ground and can't just rush you with truncheons out
  • Very well said
  • 100% agree with RedMidland

  • This idea will probably get laughed out but on 12th Dec we play Leeds at home too. They have a lot of ownership issues and perhaps the biggest similarity is the madcap failure to open a constructive dialogue with supporters and the misleading there. Can I throw this out there and say they are a very loud fan-base who travel extremely well and want to make their points too, like the cross-borders coming-together on ticket prices, perhaps it's time to explore the option of trying to come together on this one? It would draw a lot of attention.

Good idea, as long as Leeds don't try to demolish the Bartram statue@

FFS. It is not our team it his her team!
  • I think working with Leeds fans is a great idea
  • Reasons for it being a shit idea

Firstly it's Leeds, secondly it's Leeds, thirdly it's Leeds

    That's productive.
  • Try to think outside the box on this one and put the partisanship aside.

Leeds are the Millwall of the North

You need structure wisdom and brains to achieve the aim, do you want the ground smashed up and fighting because you invited them to come inside and assist,

Think about the real reaction of what some of their prick fans could do whilst pretending to be cafc

Probably the most productive assistance you will get from anyone the advice above

Brighton on Dec 5th has more in common with Charlton than Leeds.Ground share and getting the club back.
Dec 5th 1992, 23years on we have lost the club again, the battle is just begining again to reclaim the club for the fans.
