Are they saying it was Mercedes and Red Bulls fault for pressuring Massi? It wasn't clear but maybe it doesn't matter. They have made changes and we need to see how they go.0

Be interesting to see how the new Race Directors fare.0 -
From what I can work out from it, Masi made mistakes in trying to please and appease as many people as possible, the teams, the fans, the race organisers and everyone else in between.
People have clamoured for races to end under racing conditions for years and years, clearly under the pressure of it being the end of the season, the championship in the balance, Masi wanted to make sure that happened, no-one wants the final laps of such an exciting season to finish behind the safety car, and he utilised and manipulated the rules in a fashion to make that happen.

So track limits are the white line... Perez goes completely off the track for his first lap.
Lap doesnt get deleted
Great start for the new Race Directors.
Zhou then gets done for Track Limits in Q2, guess there is small print to suck up to the Red Bulls in the rules still0 -
Wow... Lerclerc on pole
Russell, absolutely no where, can only get ninth for Mercedes - Although basically played the tow for Hamilton1 -
Watching final qualifying, I realised I was doing something I’ve never done before - cheering on a Ferrari.
I clearly find Verstappen and Horner more repulsive than the obnoxious Ferrari bullshit machine.
To be fair, LeClerc and Sainz are both decent drivers and pretty likeable, (as is Perez), so if it can’t be Russell or Hamilton this year, I’ll be cheering any of those three on, despite the icky feeling of Ferrari (or, at a push, Red Bull) winning as a result.

Enjoyed that a lot. Ferrari have clearly put together a very impressive engine.5

Well done leclerc0

What an absolutely spectacular session. Didn't think Leclerc was going to pull that lap out of the bag at the end, was convinced it was going to be Max. Fantastic job from KMag too on his return to get the Haas into Q3 .
The big let down has to be McLaren, just no pace there at all for a car that looked very strong in Barcelona.2 - Sponsored links:

So based on Quali;
FerrariRed BullMercedes
HaasAlfa RomeoAlpine
Toro Rosso
McLaren
Williams
Aston Martin
Seems to be a rough pecking order, with Haas to Toro Rosso very close and could be listed in almost any order3 -
Think K Mag (a moderately good driver) is gonna make Mick look exactly what he is this year….. an average driver with a famous surname.
I also found myself cheering for Leclerc today. If Merc can’t sort the car out in time to get Ham and Rus in contention … it’s anyone but Max.
Although that Merc clearly has buckets of downforce. Too much as it’s ramming itself into the track at speed. Sort that out and they will be fecking quick. Tbh even now I would say Monaco and Hungary they would be up front.5 -
