Great bloke, did a presentation at a night match last season. On his way back spoke to him, he has a great knowledge of Charlton. Also as mentioned above great charity work for our soldiers. Love his right wing humour. Sadly not liked by lefties!
The only time I saw Jim Davidson was at an evening away game. Watford? Early to mid 2000s?
The stadium announcer got dear old Jim out on the pitch. Jim explained that he was feeling a bit poorly with a cold, but when the announcer asked him to tell us all a joke, Jim shook off the sniffles and really stepped up to the plate. He looked at the announcer, looked at his shoes and said... "No.".
All four sides sides of the ground just erupted! I laughed so hard I shat out a tiny rainbow-coloured unicorn that flew up to heaven and tickled the nose of God.

Legend.
I was at that one. I think it was a league cup away game 2001/02. Kevin Lisbie doing the worst ever corner until Cristian Ceballo's effort against Derby this season.

So you didn't bother reading my post before you wrote this then?

My views political views are regarded as left wing and i think he's great. So you're wrong.

Same here, that's why I asked if Jwc had read my post. Everyone in their little box...
I'm not sure I'd call myself a lefty (stupid label) because I believe in equal rights for and am against discrimination and pro EU but others call me one. So I guess I am, but I love JD always have.

Thanks man. You're right - 2001. What a team we had back then!
Steve Brown and John Robinson still in the team - Richard Rufus must've been crocked or rested. Jonathan Johansson running round on his tippy toes while Bartlett did all the hard graft. And what a midfield! Kinsella left on the bench whilst Parker played box to box and Claus Jensen added the class. Deano in goal and a young lad we'd signed from Derby County at left back. Whatever happened to him?
Lost it in extra time and crawled back home on the stopping train. Too many beers and late in to work the next day.

Sven what a great memory you have, I can't remember what I had for my dinner last night
Great bloke. Met him a few times, the most recently being Palace away. Love his comedy too - got quite a few DVDs from over the years. Not many can tell a story or deliver a joke like him.
Proper Charlton as well, that cannot be questioned.

I think if we had won we would've made the quarter finals and Spurs were the only big team left, Blackburn ended up winning it.
Davidson was at St. Mary's as well on the previous Saturday to see Southamptons first ever win there... I think he refused to do a joke then as well!
A Charlton supporting conservative, what's not to like. Wish he'd come on here and talk some sense and cheer us up at the same time. Have thought he was he was great from the first time I saw him on TV ( was it New Faces?). Hope to one day meet him at The Valley.

I quite like Jim but don't agree with his footballing analysis!
Stands back and waits, !

Makes me laugh and supports his local team through thin and thin.

Pork chops, peas and buttered parsnips by the way.
