Surely there is CCTV filming the NU at all times?? Hopefully they'll weed this lowlife out and he'll be charged by the police and banned from The Valley.
surely someone can identify him, or should've done at the time....b*llocks to the not grassing up, if the bottle had hit my daughter I'd be f*cking livid.
hope your little girl is ok and it doesn't deter her from coming back

exactly mate, this has nothing to do with 'grassing', this idiot needs identifying
If your mates throw bottles at young kids, you need some new mates.
Giving them the benefit of the doubt here (not that they deserve it), i'd like to think they just threw it and weren't specifically aiming for a young child.
Would be amazed if CCTV cannot pinpoint who it was though.

What? "They weren't specifically aiming for a small child?" That's all right then.
Come on, the guy who did this needs to be identified and charged. And i hope if anyone can throw any light on his identity they get in touch with John Little straight away.

I don't think for a second Chris was saying that it makes a difference to the severity of it, just that we don't have spiteful cunts singling out kids to take their frustration out on

I sort of get where you are coming from. I don't think they looked down, saw Mart's daughter and said "I'll see if I can hit her" but that's not the point.
If you randomly throw a bottle then anyone with half a brain would realise that it could hit someone, be it a child or not.
They clearly didn't care if someone was hit be it a child, an adult, a Charlton player or anyone else. They are just an idiot and a dangerous one precisely because they didn't aim it specifically at anyone. They just lobbed it and didn't care who they hit.
john.little@cafc.co.uk if anyone has any info, however small. Will be treated in confidence if you so wish.

Just idiots who are singling out Charlton fans. So that's all right then.
You've only got to look at some of the comments which are consistently added to the Facebook group to know that we have an element of class a knobbers following us at the moment.
You see it at away games and increasingly at home games in the north upper.
Whoever threw this, didn't give a shit about the consequences and probably now still thinks its funny.
I'm waiting for the justification to start on the FB group. The same thing started up after people reported being hit by beer glasses and bottles at Palace. "What do you expect its Palace" "Did you think it would be any different" "Its only a plastic bottle, stop moaning" etc etc
Its not about grassing. Its about outing a knob head.

I don't think he is saying that they knowingly threw it at Charlton fans, just that they launched a bottle from the upper and it didnt make the pitch and happend to hit a little girl.
neither myself or Chris are are saying its ok or that it doesn't matter.

It may not have it a child, it could have hit a pensioner. It could have hit a fan minding his or her own business. There should be no mitigation here.
First the melon that tried to hit the eagle at Palace and now this. For what it's worth I think the reaction on here and some of you that sit in the area where the chap was based, there is a chance he'll be identified and appropriate action taken

Can't argue with any of that Henry, was just replying to an earlier post who made it sound as if they singled out a young child.
You'd like to think that in 2015, CCTV will be able to find whoever did it.
of course Chris isn't saying that the throwing of the bottle was correct, he's just saying that whoever threw it was just aimlessly throwing a bottle not deliberately aiming for a young child obviously, of course throwing a bottle is wrong you haven't got to be a rocket scientist to work that out, I have noticed myself that the support is now becoming bad, palace was actually a joke hence why I fucked off 5 mins early, im sure the person that threw it will be caught and dealt with accordingly, just like the fella with the flare against millwall that hit a female fan on the head.
Certain people laughed off the bottle throwing at Palace as lads having a laugh, and adding 'atmosphere', it's only a matter a time before one of OUR supporters will be seriously hurt by one of OUR fans.
Keep this up and our hard won reputation as a family club will be ruined.

"The two clubs we hate the most, Millwall and Palace."
Doesn't apply to me as i have Family ties with both areas of London/Surrey. (I hate losing to them, but don't hate them)
These seem to be the 2 clubs we are trying to emulate off the pitch.
Two years ago we went to Millwall and gave it large. No problem with making loads of noise.
but when Pyros are thrown on the pitch and miss a ball boy by inches then a line has been crossed. Seeing what it does to the grass, why would you think it wouldn't do damage to someones face ?
Then the Palace fiasco, The ultras are 2% if that of their fan base. They are the quintessential family club, with an Eagle and dancing girls. What kudos is gained by playing the part of hard south Londoners and throwing bottles of drink at your own fans ? what type of a man can't finish his drink ? The Grown up Palace fans i know, think the Ultras are a joke but add too the atmosphere in a imitation European way.
I don't want football too sanitized, it has too be a little rough around the edges But i want the police to Protect the good folk from robbery, violence and trying to stop extremists from blowing us up on the underground, not spending their time keeping dickheads from each other.
As this has happened before, do we not have stewards in the upper stands to keep an eye open for this type of behaviour, or are we saving money by cutting down on them?

Totally agree, the Millwall flare narrowly missed Charlton Supporters as well as the ball boy, hopefully it (whoever launched it) was identified and jailed, at the end of the Palace match Charlton supporters trapped with those from the Holmesdale End were been struck by stuff thrown by Charlton suppoters as well as being singled out and attacked by the small minority of Palace morons as no police were around.
Keep the songs and make it hostile, keep your pyrotechnics at home, keep your coins in your pocket, if you have anything else in your possession or available nearby act like a human being and do what 99.9% of the population would do and do not throw.
If you want a ruck arrange with like minded and leave those that do not want to get involved alone.
There was a flare at Watford last season or the season before. The individual(s) were removed by the police...
Incidentally, maybe it would be better if the 'younger mob' were in the lower North. The Palace Ultras are in the lower tier, right by the pitch, which seems a much better place to be than up in the Gods. They seem to have no trouble making themselves heard.

No, it will be much better for them to stay upstairs....

Good luck with that venture fella.
Good to see you planning for the long game. The VERY long game.
