  • Pope - 5; No confidence and at fault for both goals
Solly - 5; Poor game from our skipper - not leading from the front
Fox - 4; Inept, offered nothing in attack or defence
Bauer - 5; Given a torrid time by Miller in first half, looked ruffled for 1st time this season
Sarr - 5.5; Given a torrid time by Miller in second half - extra half point for goal
Gudmundsson - 6; Only attacking option, but double teamed
Kashi - 4.5; Always available but then passes sideways - offers little protection to centre backs
Ba - 4; Tried hard but got nowhere
Cousins - 6.5; Wasted on the wing (again) - only player to come out of last two games with credit
Makienok - 6; Gave everything but now probably missing for a month due to his hammy
Watt- 5.5; Big swing no ding or all the gear, no idea!

Bergdich - 5.5; gave width but game was all but over by then

Luzon - Outdone tactically which is pretty poor considering that is not one of Powell's strengths!

The ref - Terrible, but not biased!

Pope - 4 Shocking howler for the first, putting us on the back foot AGAIN.
Solly -5.5 Ran ragged first half, better second.
Fox - 4.5 Very poor game. Weak tackle in the build-up to the opener, but got zero help from Cousins.
Bauer - 6.5 One of maybe two or three to emerge with any credit.
Sarr - 6 Bit of leniency for scoring but not a patch on Diarra. Then again, few are.
Gudmundsson - 6 Ineffective again but at least he wants the ball and carries it forward. Cousins and Ba don't.
Kashi - 7 Earned his money and did his job. Again.
Ba - 5 Still think there's more to come from him. At least I hope there is. Another nothing display.
Cousins - 4.5 Dreadful. Without his endeavour he just epitomises the word "average". Contributed nothing defensively and almost nothing offensively.
Makienok - 4.5 Great from the waist upwards. Awful touch on the ground. Think one of maybe eight or nine lay-offs found its intended target. Bad miss too.
Watt- 4 Hopefully one of those games. Would still rather see him try things than pass sideways like everyone else. Nothing went right here though.

  • Pope - 3 Just to reiterate what I said after the Hull game, when is Henderson back? Pathetic attempt at goalkeeping
    Solly - 6
Fox - 5 hung out to dry by Cousins
    Bauer - 7
Sarr - 6 given the size of him got bullied too often by Miller
    Gudmundsson - 7
    Kashi - 6
Ba - 5 for me he falls between the two stalls of holding and attacking midfielder and thus offers little
Cousins - 5 we know you want to play in the middle but if you're in the team to play left mid, then play on the left you div
    Makienok - 6
Watt- 5 see the other geezers in red shirts? They're on your team so try passing to them once in a while.

    Bergdich - 5
McAleny 5- looks decent enough on the ball. Tried to hard though
  • Pope - 7 not much to do not at fault for the first goal.
    Solly - 4 One game a week I think
    Fox - 2 Frightened
    Bauer - 5 Bullied
    Sarr - 4 Bullied more
    Gudmundsson - 4 Anonymous
Kashi - 7, tried to hold our shit team together, showed passion for our football club
    Ba - 4, Pony
Cousins - 7, not his fault that he was on the wing, was better when move dot his best position
Makienok - 7 - did what was required , carrying an injury so not fit
Watt- 2 - Its a team game either play for the team or fuck off. And I know you've been told that before.

    Bergdich - 5 Lighweight

  • Pope -5.5 Looked like a rookie tonight.
Solly -6 had a chasing but kept battling
Fox - 5 after the missed tackle had a torrid time.
Bauer -6 had a 15 round battle that he lost on points.
Sarr - 6.5 welcome to champ football. young and will get better. extra 1 for goal.
Gudmundsson -6.5 he's getting closed down quicker this season.
Kashi -6 level has dropped in last two games, but will bounce back.
Ba -5 struggled most of the night.
    Cousins-5 ditto ditto.
Makienok -5.5 wasn't 100% fit on Saturday or tonight.
Watt-4.5 poor night but the best move for Berdich started by Tony.

Bergdich -6.5 team improved when he came on. lose point for gilt edge chance.
McAleny n/a at least he wanted the ball, and looked interested.
Vetokele n/a the opposite of Mcaleny.

Pope 4 - the sooner henderson comes back, the better
Solly 5 - half the player he was 2 years ago
Sarr 5 - not very good, for someone so tall, he wins hardly anything in the air
    Bauer 6 - Solid
Fox 3 - Powell would of done better at LB last night even now
Gudmundsson 4 - overated and predictable
Ba 5 - another poor passing display
Kashi 7 - the only one who looks to get on the ball and do something, love him
Cousins 5 - not good on the left, better in the middle passing is poor
Watt 4 - Thinks he's a lot better than he is
Makienok - 6 our best attacking outlet, the chance he had was a lot harder than it looked

Bergdich 5- quick going forward but has no bottle in a tackle
  • Pope - 5.5
    Solly - 6.5
    Fox - 6
    Bauer - 7
    Sarr - 7
    Gudmundsson - 5.5
    Kashi - 7
    Ba - 6.5
    Cousins - 6
    Makienok - 4.5
    Watt- 5.5

    Bergdich - 5.5

Don't want to sulk / mark down just because of the disappointing result but none of the forwards made much impact (haven't read others' views yet).

Whitehead/Hurs ran the game first half
    Scannell was MOM
  • Pope - 4 - did very little that was not straightforward and obviously made a complete cockup of the first goal. Too many mistakes to be a regular at this level
Solly - 6 - not quite his usual self but 2 games in 4 days with his knee issues seems to be too much sadly. Scannell was a real handful for him
Fox - 5 - Offers very little going forward, although he improved when Bergdich came on.
Bauer - 5 - Was dominated by Miller throughout the game
Sarr - 4 - As above but handled it less well
Gudmundsson - 6 - Livened up a bit second half but unwilling to shoot early and always looks to tee up the perfect shot
Kashi - 7 - Seemed to be trying to keep hold of the game single-handedly and was everywhere. Needs to sit in front of the CB's though, not between them!
Ba - 5 - Pretty poor and no idea why he's preferred in the middle to Cousins
Cousins -7 - HE'S NOT A LEFT WINGER!!! When he moved inside he looked more comfortable but not up to his usual standards. Needs to be played in the middle from the first whistle
Makienok - 5 - Not his best game but was at least trying
Watt-5 - If you're going to try to take on 4 players every time you get the ball then you best make damn sure you produce something. Try passing the damn thing every now and then!

Bergdich - 6 - Looked lively when he came on. Should be starting on the left with Cousins in the middle.
  • Pope - 4: his error for the first goal left us chasing the game and he nearly gifted Scannell another shortly afterwards. Sadly, there are just too many costly mistakes, although I doubt that Henderson will be fit until after the next international break (Reading on 17 October ?).
Solly - 6: given a tough time, especially in the first half, but kept going and did his best to get forward down the right flank.
Fox - 5: a poor performance but he has not become a bad player overnight and was up against a speedy winger in really good form. He'll be ok.
Bauer - 7: our best player, in my view. He had to hold a very shaky defence together and, but for Bauer, I think we'd have conceded three or four goals.
Sarr - 4: had a torrid time against Miller. Let's hope this wasn't a true reflection of his level of ability.
    Gudmundsson - 5: below par.
Kashi - 6.5: did ok and at least showed some urgency and drive in an effort to get things moving.
Ba - 5: had a couple of decent efforts at goal to go with his atrocious ones but was generally poor. Huddersfield had acres of space in midfield to play through us. Ba has hardly played any football over the last two years and maybe that's catching up with him. Needs a spell out of the side.
    Cousins - 6: a better second half (self-evidently).
Makienok - 6: some decent touches but slashed at a chance in the second half. Clearly not fit and Guy was never going to leave him on for the full game, given that Simon only returned to training last Thursday.
Watt- 4: a big talent but he really does need to sort out his attitude and show a modicum of maturity. If he can't, I fear he'll be on his way back to Scotland and end up playing at a lower level up there.

Bergdich - 6: did ok, although I'm never confident that he's got the ball fully under control. Missed a very presentable chance in the second half, without even working the keeper.
  • Pope - 5 At fault for first goal, possibly even for second (for not getting his wall in correct position)
    Solly - 6 Reasonable performance
Fox - 4 Well below par. Constantly beaten by his man and gave away countless corners.
    Bauer - 6 Reasonably solid
Sarr - 6 Slightly unsteady initially but grew into the game, shackling their no.11 well.
Gudmundsson - 7 Should have scored (as last Saturday) but otherwise a good game.
Kashi - 7 Good passion and vision.
Ba - 4 Brought nothing to the side other than one good shot at goal.
Cousins - 7 One of the few in the side who could reflect on a reasonable game.
Makienok - 6 Clearly unfit - probably why he missed an open goal.
Watt- 4 Needs to become more of a team player. Other teams are now wise to his tactics.

Bergdich - 6 Looked dangerous at times. More of an idea than Ba.
McAleny n/a Looks promising, although he missed a good opportunity to score on his debut.
Vetokele n/a Never really had a chance to get into the game.
  • Pope - 4.5
    Solly - 5
    Fox - 4.5
    Bauer - 5.5
    Sarr - 4.5
    Gudmundsson - 5.5
    Kashi - 6
    Ba - 5.5
    Cousins - 5
    Makienok - 6
    Watt- 4.5

    Bergdich - 6
    McAleny n/a
    Vetokele n/a
  • All of our players looked tired due to our extremely tiny squad.
    Pope - 4.5
    Solly - 5
    Fox - 4.5
    Bauer - 6
    Sarr - 5
    Gudmundsson - 5
    Kashi - 6
    Ba - 6
Cousins - 5 - Even when he plays as a left-midfielder he always drifts into the midfield, basically saying himself he doesn't wanna play there!
Makienok - 6 - Should never of been taken off, we needed his height in the last minutes
Watt- 4 - Worst I've seen him play, he looked tired from the start, it's great to see him take players on but it's also great to see him pass the ball rather than lose it!

    Bergdich - 6
    McAleny n/a
Vetokele n/a - I don't care if it's n/a he did nothing the second he came on!

Can I just check, without being rude or anything, but you are definitely talking about tonight's game at the Valley against Huddersfield?
Know this isn't the place to talk about players but I agree with Colin on Sarr. Thought he looked good. Couple of iffy moments but all young CBs have them. I thought his passing was generally good and he had very little support from his more experienced team mates
Sarr looked good? I don't even remember him winning a single header apart from his goal!
