I have no idea about George Jones beyond him being a Country and Western singer who passed away in 2013, but the club have advertised for a communications person so is that who this George Jones is?
I really am sorry to say this, but I do get the feeling that Katrien, and Roland look like they are making everything up as they go along, flying by the seats of their pants, winging it all, and seeing what happens.
I don't believe there is a 'plan' especially in the form of the plan when we first were introduced to Roland and Katrien. Do you remember Roland outlining things in his 'love all my children equally' interview, and now one child, Standard de Liege has left home and moved in with somebody else? The network model as described then is very different to now.
There are a lot of supporters who insist that everything is OK which is fair enough, but I feel continually uneasy about it all. Please indulge me when I repeat that actual results, and the physical development of Sparrows Lane would be something unspinnable, and the real reference points for the future of our club, the rest is simply beyond my ken as things stand.

Well maybe it is my paranoia. Maybe it is about the timing, as in a wage saved on Ben Roberts goalkeeping coach now being spent on a coach coach. Maybe it is about him coming from surprise surprise Standard de Liege. Maybe it is related to the Okey Coaky managerial ins and outs 'you put your Riga in, your Luzon out, in out in out shake it all about', and the Okey Coakey with players too. Maybe there is no issue at all and I am imagining it all, and the signings of Lepoint, PP, Reza, Tucadean, Thuram, Bulot (!) and all the shenanigans is really quite normal in football. Maybe I will really lose it and yearn for the stability of the Bob Peeters era. If it is all OK then fair enough, but I certainly am not going to believe much when it is on the OS (sorry George) unless it is a healthy points total on the league table.

We now have the same number of people doing this as we have had for nearly every season for the last 15 or 20 seasons except the last few months since Bobby P left - even under Riga Dyer and Matthew were still there. The conspiracy theorists are into overdrive again though.
This shows that Roland is not just backing out of football. Still keen to get someone who was a key member of staff at SL over to CAFC. For that reason alone it has to be a positive.
Wonder if it has pissed off SL - and had an impact on the Bulot farce?

So we've got a new coach joining the set up at the senior end of business. Why oh why is everyone getting so hung up on the mans exact title. We know he's under head coach Guy Luzon. Equal to, over or below Damian Matthew.
It's a good thing we are strengthening our coaching isn't it. Why does everything have to be disected to the enth degree and viewed with immediate suspicion.

I kind of understand your sense of exasperation SHG, but on the point of things being dissected, we are all of us a bit guilty of this are we not? Your Roland Duchatelet meditation on the thread you recently started is an example isn't it?
