Are people upset that it was an Arsenal shirt or just the shirt of another team ?

What if it had been a Palace shirt ?

What if it had been a Malmo FC shirt ?

As for his ability, he was great at the end of the season before last and in that same year got a call up to England U19 - he can't be that terrible can he.....

Just another team. Although I do wonder what everyone saying they don't have a problem with it would think if the kid had been in a palace shirt.
and he had 'I 8 CURBS ' written across the back.

and he was giving wanker signs to the Covered End.

and his kid was actually Alan Pardew.
A proper belly laugh on this one. Needed more than a click on the lol.

That's just classic Harriott bad attitude right there

The club shop probably didnt have any toddlers kits.

    they still don't!
  • Guy's a Muppet, comes across as flash and cocky, putting your kid in another London teams shirt on the pitch is just stupid.

Don't rate him, and don't care if he leaves.

    Probably close to the truth
  • I don't think it reflects anything about his attitude as far as I can see he has a very good attitude! He's kept his head down while he's been out of the team and has given his all for the u21s..

However while we are on the issue of his kid wearing an arsenal shirt on the pitch.. For me it is at best naive or a little bit stupid and at worst deliberately inflammatory...
I reckon he was just a little naive!

comes across as flash and cocky,

Based on what? Must be that Community Trust Community Player of the Year award he won for putting in all those extra hours working with kids and the community unpaid and largely unpublicised.

Haven't read stories of him falling out of nightclubs or shagging z list models. The worst offence seems to be his social media name and activity. He must have blocked a lot of people.

I get it that people don't rate him as a player although the Covered End were singing his name on Saturday.
He's no Jerome Thomas, that's for sure.
  • Don't want to start it up all again, we've said enough I think, but those who chose to throw abuse last night and this morning and got flagged for it, it wasn't me!

I'm far to childish, immature and a Miss Piggy look alike to care!

On the few times I have been in his presence.

I'm not disputing the has done all that community work, he could do all the charity work in the world, but I would still think he is cocky.
  • don't like Harriott as a player. Think he is a one trick pony and easy to defend against. Has no real quality as a footballer, just pace.

With regards to the shirt on the kid, I found it disrespectful. If Jacko has kids, I have no issue if say a 10 year old was wearing an Arsenal shirt, but this was Harriotts decision. He woke up that morning and decided his kid wearing an Arsenal top to the Valley was a good idea, and thats poor judgement.

Can't comment on his attitude, he seems like a normal guy for his age, makes mistakes posting stuff on twitter but thats no real reflection on his general attitude.
  • So people are getting upset because of:
    1. Cally Messi - A nickname given to him during his academy days.
    2. His kid wore an Arsenal shirt during end of season pitch walk.

So no.2 is naive, but 1 is just a bit ladish.

Neither grind my gears, anyone would think he was having a Ceddy.

Very unlikely that he would have been the one dressing his child on a match day.
  • With all the shit players get from fat fucks and divs sitting in the stands, i cant believe some people are 'offended' or feel 'disrespected' cos a players kid wore another teams shirt at the end of season pitch walk.

    Its actually comical.

    No it isn't!
  • Was it the Arsenal home or away kit? – surely the ref should have intervened if it clashed with the Charlton kit
  • ain't bothered by all the shirt crap or the Messi name tag, just by the fact he ain't a very good footballer and not good enough for the Championship for sure. best for all if he goes, the sooner the better for me.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure that was sarcastic. I also heard - after Messi failed to get in a cross from the left - "He won us a throw, he won us a throw, Harriott, he won us throw!"

While I'm here, I don't care what players or their children wear (Tony Watt plays in Celtic shin pads and I'm not sure I've ever loved anyone so profoundly), and I have nothing against Harriott as a person (I've never met him), I just don't think he's very good at football. Obviously happy to be proved wrong...

I think the polar opposite to that.

I'm not commenting on the fella as a player (as I've never seen him play with my own eyes), or if he's cocky or not, but I do think to actually come out on to the pitch with your boy in another teams colours is a bit of a piss take and shows a lack of respect to the Club.

We're all defferent and that's just what I think.

(I have got a cousin who was cheering on the Gooners against us once because he wanted them to win the title, even though he was meant to be a Charlton supporter at the time. That really got my back up then, as this does now. Specially as II see a Facebook photo of his two littluns in the full Arsenal kits the other week).

Let's sort this out once and for all. Click the link above to vote. What did you think of Harriott-Arse-shirt-gate?
  • 3 all so far........ Close

    ; )
  • IF IF Henry and/or Pennant arrive @ the Valley, Harriot could well be off somewhere else

Is it a lack of respect by Tony Watt if he indeed does play in Celtic shin pads?
