Thought this should have it's own thread.

Murray double break up in first set of round 2. Looking forward to Heather Watson v Serena, and Jamie Ward looking good...

Nadal looking better than he has for a while - interesting to see how he does later today, should cruise through if he is back to form. Djok the usual machine.

Wonder if we can keep this thread abuse free? Naive, I know....

    Ward now struggling in second set tiebreak after taking first set - came back - is now 2 sets to love up. Excellent.

    Wozniacki through, Kerber through. Lisicki a set down to McHale.

    Until it gets to the meaty rounds I'm one of the few that prefers the women's game.

    Know what you mean - they tend to be less predictable...except for Serena of course.

    Yup. Also just watched the 8th seed Makarova go out to Rybarikova who looked good. Though I did have the macarena going through my head all match.

    Sometimes the women can be a bit one dimensional, many of the "ovas" seem quite robotic, just smashing the ball as hard as possible

    And on the other hand, the Broady and this Ward match have both been exciting...as was Murray in the 1st round - harder than the numbers make it look.

    Maybe so but as wheresmeticket said the matches are less predictable and I prefer the 3 set format in earlier rounds. Watching a one sided men's match is pretty dull.

    I can't stand the man, he's such a dour Scot and miserable git; who, I might add hates the English. Gotta say he's got a fit wife and Judy Murray? A proper Milf, or is she a Gilf now?

    Anyway, over to the people who only like tennis for 2 weeks a year!
