All my gf's friends seem to be breaking up with their boyfriends at the moment and all I'm thinking is "great that's another plus one I don't have to pay for at our wedding next year".

Yes - but you are also losing out on free food and booze at their weddings!
At a wedding way up north from Lincolnshire...just shy of Newcastle...on a Sunday.......fook me,these people know how to party......skip the ABBA and disco stuff. ..straight into all out club..what a cracking bunch.

Either that or they'll all bring some 2nd date from Tinder who's hoping they'll get tipsy, think it's all really romantic and they'll get their end away.
Then you'll never see the guy again, but would have paid £60 or whatever for his meal....
I like the style of Doncaster City FC. They are too lowly to enter the English F.A. Cup so have applied to be included in the Scot's competition.
They are claiming that King Stephen of England passed the town over to King David of Scotland in the first Treaty of Durham in 1134 and it has never been handed back. They have set their sights on a home tie with Celtic or Rangers.
The weather today. Took the classic for a spin this morning, then went to Ruxley for a couple of plants. Bit of gardening and now sitting with a beer tending the bbq. My daughters also just made a Victoria sponge, the diet is out the window today.
Just watched my Son's first school play, he's only in reception so didnt do the Nativity (it was an older year that performed that) - But the song they sang... "Red Red Robin"
Spoke to the school last week, all 250/300 children + staff sat and listened as myself and Granddaughter Millie thanked them for their support in what’s been a difficult year for themselves as well as us after losing Xena and their Reading Bailey within six months of each other. My anxiety levels were through the roof but I held it together as we presented the school with an updated photo of Bowyer as a Christmas gift.
Fun fact. When Ronaldo played on his first Olympics for Brazil there was already a defender called Ronaldo so he was actually called Ronaldinho. Only when the older Ronaldo finished was he called Ronaldo in the Brazilian team.
Breaking into Photography definitely isn't easy.. Although took an opportunity this weekend when it fell into my path - Took a local trip to the top of Ranscombe Farm for some views over the North Downs yesterday morning.
Instead of focusing on a drab landscape I decided to start taking a few shots of the runners... all of whom presumed I was there on a official capacity, and it was only when I started talking to some, that they realised I wasn't part of the group that had organised it.
Decided to go and have a chat with the organisers at the Start / Finish line, they didnt have a Photographer. So let them know what I'd been doing, with the offer to send over any images to Facebook etc. as all I wanted from this was the exposure etc. which they were more than happy to do - Went back again today, as they had split the event over two days, the Organisers spotted me, and again were delighted to see me out there volunteering my work - Seems they have this race on four times a year for each season, and have already promised to be back out there for the next one.
Thats combined with the fact that I'm having some home improvements done in the living room here at home - The builder this week noticed my Photography, and asked if I'd be interested in taking a handful of images of the work, which they'd me pay for... along with passing my name around, and keeping me in mind, so when he does work elsewhere, he'll get me along to "showcase" his work in the future.
So despite being in two areas of Photography that I have absolutely no interest, worst case they can eventually help pay for me to explore the areas I am interested in more
Two doors (excuse the pun) have potentially opened ever so slightly for me in a matter of days.
I retired at 57 taking a manageable private pension plus a lump sum with me, this year at 66 I qualify for a state pension but due to missing ten years payments I don’t qualify for the the whole shooting match, but guess what I would have lost it it income tax any way. So for the sake of 40 quid a month I got nine years of my life to do as I choose.
Have recently had to call customer services a few times at American Express due to a couple of issues with our cards. What excellent service, each time the issue was dealt with promptly and curtiously. Best customer service dept I've ever dealt with.
Spending half term time with our Granddaughter Millie, eager to learn about the dogs their needs she’s like a sponge and listens and learn.
She often walked Bailey on the lead and wanted to learn about 3 year old Bowyer who is a different ball game, from memory and with just an occasional reminder she took an unruly Bow from me and in less than one circuit of the field she taught him what is expected

This week it's like a Hyde Park gig for bees.
Amazing. [Unbeeleivable, even]
.

And French ones.
He left for Inter a week after we got home. My Dad found it hilarious and then kept offering to masking tape over 'ON' with 'IV' once Rivaldo signed.
Ended up having an 8-hour running challenge going on around me

Just have about 700 images to review and edit now
