It did cause logistical problems with entrance and exit and with facilities.
It costs a lot more I police and stewarding.
And for a league game you are still passing off ST holders.
Not sure it was Orient. I'm standing by Brentford and Leicester. Anyone else remember?
I did say they were cup games. And yes, that obviously makes it easier. But why on earth would you want a third of our ground empty when we could sell the seats to Bournemouth? Is it really that difficult to ask a few hundred season ticket holders to move for one game?
How many tickets would they shift - it's Bournemouth
Know they don't usually have great numbers travelling but they stand on the edge of the Premiership for the first time ever and would undoubtedly bring several thousand if they could get tickets.
Exactly the same as we would do if the positions were reversed.

I remember the 1992 game against Leicester when they brought down loads of spectators for their expected promotion party :-) Complete and utter chaos that day, with Leicester fans being moved across the pitch from the South bank to the chicken run side of Upton Park...
By the sound of things, the ticket selling arrangements have been a bit shambolic down there, so there will be Bournemouth fans in the home ends. At least we 'll finish the season with a big attendance figure!
Agree Fortune, but what are we reckoning 7,000 max ?, if so flog the tickets, leaves us 19,000 to share. Also, probably not right to compare with us, gawd knows how many we would shift for a game as important as that on the south coast, early May, don't think the entire capacity would meet demand

You are both right, it was Orient, Brentford and Leicester. You can also add Yeovil to the list
Why should I be moved? I don't get why the west stand get so much stick? I have had my season ticket there for the last 18 season in a row and just renewd again. And it's not a cheap season ticket like £150 it's £475. We sit with some great people and have a great view, as well as having a laugh with the away dugout/shouting match
If the club had any nous they should move the West Stand Lower season ticket holders and move them and give this to Bournemouth. I am certain Bouremouth would sell these in hours. Admittedly it would upset season ticket holders.
Cd85, I normally sit lower west, agree with all you say, season ticket for 3 years before this one. Would I have a problem relocating for this game - no
Surely their fans will just buy tickets in the home end ? That way we get their money, they don't get the extra advantage of having more fans in a "block" and we don't have to piss off any of our own season ticket holders.

I take you are not a season ticket in the West Lower then @ElfsborgAddick.
Ticket priority was shambolic I know some lads from down here who will be travelling up and none of them are Bournemouth fans, it would be a shame if genuine Bournemouth fans miss out, mind you be nice to beat them and they still get promoted, Eddie Howe has worked miracles with that squad.

So then there is the potential problem of crowd trouble.
If this were to happen people would then come back to the case of giving them extra tickets to avoid this.
There will be plenty of them in the home ends. Imagine if they stick to the East and West and aren't too mouthy there won't be too many problems but last game of the season you never know.
Interesting that we've not put restrictions on buying in the home areas

It seems a bit silly that we are only selling 2900 in the JS stand, I presume they're still blanking off the section next to the East Stand A block.

Much as I have nothing against the Cherries, I'd like to see home stands full of Addicks for the last game of the season , NOT "invaded" by away fans.
And as E-cafc says, let the unfortunate ones watch via a Beam Back.
