As someone who openly admits he did not initially support the appointment of GL, I have to say he is certainly doing something right as the team have gone from abject (at Watford) to playing some wonderful passing and attacking football in a few short weeks. So fair play to the man.
BUT. And it s a huge but. He's had 3 pieces of huge good fortune.
Firstly, the signing of Tony Watt. He's simply taken the place by storm and if CP, JR or BP had had him at their disposal I strongly suspect results would have much improved under them. (And don't forget, GL kept Watt on the substitutes bench for the first 4 games he was in charge and seemed reluctant to use him at first)
Secondly, the return from injury of Stephen Henderson (which occurred just after GL's arrival). He's been superb since coming back into the team. I'm sure BP would have much preferred to have him in goal him instead of the Oldham reserve goalkeeper he was forced to play.
Thirdly, the signing of good old British pros in Johnson and Eagles and a third good pro who had experience of English football in Diarra. Signings that many of us had been calling for but which were never given to BP.
As I say, GL has done well and deserves praise. But he's been dealt a much better hand of cards than his predecessors.
Agree which is why it is too early to say Luzon is the Messiah.
Great form now.
Let's see him, the players and board do it for a while season.
I don't think Tony Watt was fit in those first four games.
Match fitness you only get by playing. (as opposed to training)
My argument was start him and being only 21 adrenaline would get him through 60 minutes.
we took such a gamble by bringing in so many players who had played very few 1st team matches in the last year if at all. Roger Johnson and Diarra spring to mind plus Eagles had only played 6 games for Blackpool. Tony Watt we all knew had fallen out with coaches or had misunderstandings with the Scotland U21 coach so was a gamble but has been the catalyst for the team improved form and it's great that now Guy and Tony are in the UK all problems between them have dissipated.

He could be though the Mashiach is still pending isn't he?

You've got this one round your neck. Tony Watt has never had a problem with Guy Luzon and Vice versa.
Met him Sunday morning at the training ground before Alfie went to Brenford nice fella! Looked like he was going home as he had his suitcase in the boot of his motor?

He's splashed out on a right-hand drive number - must be here for the long haul!

If Tony's not playing he would've a problem ? Guy took him off on Saturday to save him from being either sent off or injured as the Reading players would've been out for revenge after seeing Williams sent off. Luzon then explained his reason, as he could see Watt was getting animated. Superb management from Guy as we were 3-1 up at the time. The mutual respect could be seen by everyone.
Guy Luzon said Tony Watt needed to improve the 1st week he took over at Charlton. That was Guy's views after working with Tony at Standard. so if you don't like the word fallen out, how about they didn't quite see eye to eye about where Tony's career was going in Belgium.
Any pro worth a light should have issues with his head coach if not in the team ?
The Charlton crowd gave love to Tony Watt as soon as he arrived. which helps flair players like Tony. Guy realized within a month or so that he had a different player than the one he had in Belgium.

Watt has gone on record as saying he thinks Luzon has always been good to him. Luzon has gone on record as saying he wanted Watt at Standard.
Your original post suggested they had a "history" I was telling you that's cobblers.
If the league had started when Luzon took charge (not including Watford away!) we would be 6th right now. Hopefully we can build on this for next season.
Also, as a side note, Katrien Meire was on Evan Davis' Bottom Line show about the money in football. Brief but interesting discussion.
