Newsshopper the mouthpiece of the network? Why not headline with fans real concerns
The show invites emails and tweets continually, but does not read out any negative ones, however mildly they are couched. It may be an act of editorial control, which is laughable, it may be a group fearful of effecting their relationship with the parent club. I don't think newshopper, and now those involved with Charlton Live are in any way at ease with engaging with fans unless those fans share their world view.
What you actually meant was
"They didnt read MY emails out"
Listen to the podcast if you like and then tell me if my email copied above was inappropriate for the show lined up alongside the content that was there. You will find that some of the same listeners varied responses were read out at intervals, so it doesn't seem to be a case of overcrowding. Please, listen to it and give me an honest response when you have.
Do you expect them to read out every single email they receive? How do you know how many they get?
'He also mentioned we didn't get a great deal of emails on Sunday so unless there was an issue with our server I'd be surprised if it has arrived and we'd missed it.'

Your emails weren't read out and you stretch that to mean NO critical emails are ever read out. No other possible explanation (even that they never reached them).
Well, I think the fact we did read out your email the week before which is also negative about performances, as are all the emails we read out these days, and to be honest as are pretty much all of my comments about performances on the show at the moment, proves that we aren't ignoring you, your point of view or refusing to read out anything which doesn't reflect 'our point of view' whatever you have decided that is.
We'll put this one down to either some sort of admin error, it didn't come in due to some internet problem or who knows we run out of time or something.
Send in an email next week and I'll make sure it's read out first and, in fact, I'll get the entire email tattooed upon my arse if Sordell scores a hat trick for Burnley on Saturday.
Please don't see your email not being read out as some sort of scheme for us not to present alternative views. We present the views that come in.
Harriott is frustrating as hell, as are most wingers.
When he went through that spell of 4-5 games after Reading away where he simplified his game he was very good. Ipswich at home he was fantastic but did miss simple chances.

The plural of anecdote is not data
Yes you are quite right, my critical email was read out previously. I should not have written:
'The show invites emails and tweets continually, but does not read out any negative ones, however mildly they are couched. It may be an act of editorial control, which is laughable, it may be a group fearful of effecting their relationship with the parent club.'
.....and instead of 'any' I ought to have made clear I was writing about my email. Crass on my part, and no excuses.
OK Callum I'll keep the faith if you promise a) to cross the ball to one of our players for a change b) you stop trying to beat the fullback five times and c) you occasionally get a shot on target.

Wasn't his shot on target that led to Vetokeles goal?

Fair point. But I'm classifying that as one of his occasional (on-target) shots.
Right, I have just looked at our email for Charlton Live, checked the spam folder, and for some reason they were in there with 3 or 4 from other people, no idea why, as we do not mark any listeners down for spam. Ths will explain why we had a very quiet evening Sunday with regard to emails. Very sorry about this, I have now rectified the marking, so in future they should come straight into our inbox rather than our trash.
We do read pretty much every email we get in, as long as they are not slanderous or downright abusive.

I'm normally very critical of Callum and don't think him Championship standard but not only was his shot on target and blocked but right near the end he put a peach of a cross into the six yard box and if someone had bothered to attack the near post we would most likely have scored and got a point.

Maybe spam stands for Seth Plum's Annoying Moans?
No, not at all, we read out 99.9% of emails sent in.

But sometimes he is poor. Confidence player.

Please think before posting, Cabbles.
