  • Yet again we are playing a team in form which for us is worrying. A couple of weeks ago we had a half season of boring nothing to play for matches ahead of us but now we have a full on relegation battle to enjoy. 3-1 Wolves and we creep nearer the trap door.
  • No chance against an average Wolves side. We've employed a manager who knows nothing about the league. We haven't strengthened the key areas. 4-0 defeat and no shots on target

Going to be deathly on here at 5 o'clock on Saturday...

Think I'll swerve it, go to a darkened room and stab a dinner fork into my leg instead!

So that means an emphatic win for Charlton - the only thing that will keep the moaners quiet - while the optimists will be well on the way to getting blind drunk.
Aah. The classic 'you lot want us to lose' post.

This "average" Wolves side is top of the form table, actually.
  • Wolves are no Chelsea FFS. In this league anyone can beat anyone. Until Watford we have been pretty hard to break down. Surely the team are allowed one off day? Back to business tomorrow where if we keep a clean sheet I see us winning 1-0 otherwise a 1-1 draw
  • I'm lumping big time on Wolves. Home banker 4-0

This will more than double my pleasure when we grab something from the game.
Wolves aren't Watford, as long as we get back to keeping it tight at the back, can see us grabbing all 3 points.

4-1 loss. Wolves OG for our goal.
  • Luzon has taken only an 18 man squad up to Wolves. According to Ketts there is an odd selection. It also looks as if Jackson hasn't made it.

Oh shit. Luzon hasn't picked himself, has he?
  • This is the team news from the Charlton v Wolves preview on the website
    -------------------------------------------------------
Johnnie Jackson is set to miss out again after picking up an injury in the defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion a fortnight ago, while Stephen Henderson will join him on the sidelines as he continues his recuperation from a shoulder injury.

Franck Moussa is another who is forced to sit out with a knee injury, but Tony Watt could be given his first start for the Addicks as he grows

Where did you get that? Is Ketman on Twitter?

They went on an equally poor run not so long ago. Wolves are nothing special but they will beat us easily.
  • I have also lumped on Wolves, despite the fact i'll be in the away end today
  • By the way, which pubs are people going to?
  • Wolves will be too good against us and I reckon another defeat by 2 goals. Don't like digging out one particular player but hope to God, Allah, Buddah, Krishna and any other dieities that Wilson does not start until he has got his mojo back!
  • I seriously cant see where our Rotherham in town, that said whenever i have said this before we have picked up amazing results,so here is hoping
  • On the train up, rain wind or shine we get the behind the boys all we want to see at first is some fight in the lads

  • Think we might see ujpest reserve keeper today. Good luck to him if we do.

Front line will be interesting too. Not sure watt will start.

Guessing either Ben Haim or Buyens dropped for ' personal' reasons

  • Very ominous that Jackson is not travelling.

Given all the uncertainty and disruption wouldn't any new manager take their experienced and inspirational skipper along even if injured just as a calming influence?

I wasn't confident in the first place but this makes it look even worse.
  • Not confident. 3-0 to Wolves

No - I never said that - just a factual observation that the pessimists never suffer in silence while many optimists will often celebrate elsewhere. The world contains both types and long may it be so - I take it as given that nearly everyone here wants to see Charlton do well and only a very silly person would read motivations from posts on a comments forum.

Maybe Jackson on his way to Huddersfield
  • I thought JJ is still injured???
Even if we hadn't have had all this nonsense going on this would still be a very tough game today. Wolves are the "form" team at the moment, so lets see how we do? If we get something out of the game great, personally I will be more interested in our performance, especially after last weeks embarrassment!
As long as the boys give their all that will do for me and then move on to next week.

  • Necking a few pints of Banks' in an obscure, but vibrant (and very cheap) place called 'The Emerald Club' with some Wolves supporting relatives (and, yes, Ross County v Celtic are on TV).

I can't recall having such tepid expectations of an away game and I guess it becomes a self-protection mechanism after some of incredibly poor performances we've had to suffer recently. Still, you never know with football and the over-abundant confidence of the locals gives me some hope in a perverse sort of way that the football gods may decide to frustrate them. Hopefully, we can defy the odds and, at the very least, be able to hold out heads up after a respectable performance.

Nope. But Fox in ahead of Wiggins. Nd Watt on bench again.
