No mention of a fee, wonder what we'll get for him? Considering YK was worth 500k I'd imagine George will at least fund a few new training cones and maybe a 3 for 2 deal on balls from the bin at Sports Direct
I think George is alright, not his fault he isn't YK
But it is his fault he can't hold the ball up, stay on his feet or finish.
It is also not his fault that when he does get the ball it takes the rest of the team hours to catch up with play...
Jackson blowing out his arse, Buyens still sat in front of back 4, Harriott trying to work out where on the pitch he should be, Wilson listening to (and believing) that stupid effing song.
I wonder how much it has cost RD in all the bad signings he has made for us, including wages, expenses (hotels, travel etc), and disruption the the squad. Replace all the bad signings, (without counting must be at least a dozen), and replaced with 3 or 4 good signings. Someone should tell RD, stop trying to do it on the cheap, it works out dearer in the long run.

I always thought he was going to do the business after the Derby game. The goal he scored and the penalty he won were, I thought decent bits of skill. His goal and assist against Bolton were also very good IMO. Sadly he would have games where he was just anonymous, and the miss against Millwall is still in the memory. Played okay against Cardiff but physically couldn't hack this league. Better than Church IMO so if he is deadwood then so is Church, but with only a few months left to run and no likely takers, we're prob stuck with Church's wages on the books

To be honest, if he'd ever had anyone who wasn't an unfit, crocked Vetokele backing him up he'd probably do a lot better. He was pretty much up the creek for the most part with the midfield he had behind him. (A loooong way behind him in fact.) And as for can't finish, Derby would disagree with you for one! He didn't do it often enough but he was not and is not a bad player at all, merely one who does not seem to have settled at Charlton - and there's been plenty of those recently, some of them a lot more expensive/experienced than Tucudean.
Only seen him play twice and both times he scored. I guess he should have bought me a season ticket.
I think as he is still young he needs to learn more. There looks to be an ok player in there. BP made out that he scored all the time in training (taken from an interview he gave when GT missed a sitter BP said he always gets those in training) so i just think alongside a bit of confidence and a bit of guidance i think he would be quite good. But if he wants to go and kick start his career again at Steau Bucarest good luck to him.
I think the point about guidance is a good one. Think we've been missing this badly since Andy Hughes left, heard from a few people he would go out of his way to help anyone he could, and I don't think anyone has filled that void.
Apart from maybe Jacko or TBH, I can't see we have any seasoned pro's that will be able to help out the youth players we have coming through.
I think ideally you'd have a more senior player in each position.
I know he hasn't always performed but I find it bizarre that some would celebrate his departure when we have no-one better coming in.
Him leaving does not strengthen us in any way so how could it be a good thing?
I know Igor had an excellent start to the season but there is NO way he's been any more effective than the much-maligned George in recent months. Tucudean was the best player on the pitch against Cardiff and on another day could have had three assists - the last chance he created was ironically blazed over the bar by Igor (who was then chanted off the pitch).
Now I'm not for a second suggesting that singing Igor's name was strange; it was a brilliant show of support.
But what IS strange is that if the shoe had been on the other foot, and George had twatted that 1-on-1 over the bar, he would have been lambasted by many.
Talking to a very experienced ex-pro yesterday he was clear that Tucudean and others in our current squad will never be good enough to play at this level because they weren't brought up physically to compete in the way our league requires. He doesn't think they can possibly adapt at their current age, even if their technical ability is good enough to play on the continent at a high level.

Totally agree it's the only reason Messi was turned down by us this week

I'm looking for the tweet about the forward(s) coming in, preferably before saturday!

Never mind YK, he's not even OK.
