    Thats the general indication of the current level of investment. Duchatelet appears happy enough for Charlton to be a League One club with the occassional appearance in the lower level of the Championship. Duchatelet demonstrates no ambition for the club apart from finding a home for Network cast offs or players that don't fit with the hope of finding the occasional gem in the Academy. The occassional gem to be used to off set costs.

    Really, Duchatelet should have bought a league one or two club who are happy to be at that level. Charlton supporters will never be happy with such a downgrading.

    An assumption that Charlton will be safely mid table at the end of the season seems far away at this stage. If Charlton survive it will be good fortune. It is difficult to work out what Duchatelet wants from the season. The management say one thing but the majority of the football decisions seems to point in the opposite direction.
