Peeters Speaks Out

Luzon even more so than Peeters, considering he's not new to working for RD & the network. For that reason, he won't be getting any sympathy from me when it goes belly up.redlanered said:
..........But, unlike SCP, wouldn't Peeters have been aware of what he was walking into when he signed on? And Luzon especially, now.
It's like sleeping with a bird, catching the clap............only to go and sleep with her all over again.2 -
who the fcuk are you to tell people whether to go to a game or not, I go regardless who is our manager who our players are and who our chairman is.That's what being a fan is all about.kentred2 said:Quite simply any addick that attends home games until this lot have gone are doing a disservice to those that don't and the long history of the club. Genuinely worried at the moment. RD knows Luzon will do as he's told. Luzon knows too well that Roly will sack him in a flash if not.
Big worry for me is that soon it won't be an issue to only pick network signings because that's all we'll have.
It will really be farcical to see Luzon pick this tripe that was forced on BP/JR/CP. I expect Luzon to style it out at first to get us onside.1 -
There is not a lot of downside for Luzon. He has inherited a losing, disunited and demoralised squad. If he turns it round he will be lauded. If he does not he will have had experience of English football for his cv and he can argue the blame lies elsewhere, especially if ,as I suspect, he does not get significant reinforcements before the end of the month. In either case, as long as he does what RD says he will probably be retained in the 'network' anyway.0

Strategy does not need FFP because success on pitch irrelevant. Player value is important. Six league 1 level clubs breaking even by sharing then one wonder player emerging means millions profit straight into his pocket.0

This. Anything else is a bonus to RD.kentred2 said:Strategy does not need FFP because success on pitch irrelevant. Player value is important. Six league 1 level clubs breaking even by sharing then one wonder player emerging means millions profit straight into his pocket.

He's got someone for his garden, but on Saturdays he and his wife clean the house themselves ! (no joke)scabbyhorse said:Anyone have the opinion that at Rolands age why is he even bothering with all this multi-club malarkey? Surely fishing or gardening would be a better suited past time.

As grateful as I am to RD for stopping us going in administration and sorting the pitch out.
I think his time is up, if he is still telling the manager who to pick even if they are not good enough, we are screwed2 - Sponsored links:

Luzon and Riga worked for Me.Duchatelet before.
Peeters and Powell didn't and both get six wins. Peeters and Dyer come out saying it wasn't their fault, interference in players, not enough signings etc.
Did M.Duchatelet dictate Solly plays in midfield? Did he say don't play Solly at left back when Fox was struggling? No, but I bet he asked why aren't you playing Bulot?
Powell, Riga and Luzon don't go to the press and they are all working again. Is Peeters going to be in breach of any termination agreement? Right now we need a win! I'm sure it's all very interesting what Peeters has to say but at least Dyer waited until the end of last season.
For sure FFP rules have changed. But that was after they left the number 9 shirt vacant and didn't secure better cover for Henderson. I don't think it had an impact on events up to Christmas.
Obviously all of this speculation and suspicions would have less room if M.Duchatelet would actually come out and say something about Luzon and CAFC objectives, plus get his cheque book out.1 -
Thanks for the unnecessary response to my comment but I feel as though he is causing a lot of unnecessary pain and hurt to my life.Henry Irving said:

having met Rolland i have no doubt that he has our best interest at heart - people don't seem to realize how fucked we were before he bought us.
If im wrong then at least he gave us a few extra years to watch Charlton.
I think Riga would have struggled this season and i think Bob was shit.
The recruitment is a sham and the whole SL thing is a joke, but the FACT is we have no money for some of the players we have in our squad, if it wasn't for Rolland passing wealth into Charlton we would be proper fucked!
what he has done for the club off pitch has been Great IMO and on the field will follow when we get the right man in charge - i don't think he or katrien think luzon is the guy - but they know what they are doing.

total and utter kak "the boycott worked re ShitOuts Park" ---it was the hard work and dedication of a few good people re The valley Party etc that finally got us back to The Valley.

Actually it was what Alex Dyer said in that inerview about what the owners asking Chris why he wasn't playing the players he had brought in. But Chris implied that in his interview with the Football League Paper a couple of months or so ago.AddickFC81 said:
Virtually what Chris Powell said as well.Bubble said:"All the players I brought in, they played .... there were some players they pushed to you too. I think you can fill in your own names."
"And even after a game it was always about those players. Why did they not play? Why did they not come on?
"You have to answer, is the network working, and not only in the Championship. It can only work when they are on the same level".
"I played my team - and it cost me. When people say why dont you play him because he's a premier league player, then I have my thoughts about the recruitment."0 -

i have no issue with RD (or any owner) asking why certain players are not playing or why they are playing out of position---we ask so why shouldnt the OWNER ask ? its different if he/she is demanding they PLAY.7

If everyone had gone to Selhurst there would have been no return. A small part I agree which was taken up by the brilliant work of others. But boycott easential in my opinion.Goonerhater said:total and utter kak "the boycott worked re ShitOuts Park" ---it was the hard work and dedication of a few good people re The valley Party etc that finally got us back to The Valley.

I think his time is up, if he is still telling the manager who to pick even if they are not good enough, we are screwed
Unfortunately, we are stuck with him until he decides to sell and nobody else is going to make that decision other than him. I can't see this situation getting much better over the next 1-3 years which is truly depressing.0 -
I agree in that I don't think M.Duchatelet wants CAFC to fail but he is clearly trying to succeed on a budget.C4FC4L1f3 said:having met Rolland i have no doubt that he has our best interest at heart - people don't seem to realize how fucked we were before he bought us.

Riga had a better chance of succeeding because of what he achieved in 16 games with what was a poor squad, mostly out of contract.
Peeters was a mistake.
Network signings are fine as long as they are good enough AND the obvious gaps are plugged using the open market of loans and transfers.
I think he is learning another lesson about the Championship in that it is 46 games and there are no easy ones. Tell you what though, winning games makes you less tired! Peeters might want to think about that before spouting off.

You are joking aren't you? The game at which the move to Selhurst was announced, ironically against Palace, attracted a crowd of 6,300. Obviously that included a fair few Nigels. I was one of those who refused to go at first, but the sparkling form of the team drew me reluctantly back. My first game at Selhurst, against Sheffield United, drew a crowd of 7,100 if I recall. So I think more or less 90% of those who went at the Valley in those days also went to Selhurst. But despite promotion we could not build on the teams success. It was the hard core who went, and the hard core who argued that only a return home would give the club a future. voice of the Valley could not be given out or sold to people who were "boycotting" . You are rewriting history.kentred2 said:

you could add to that too that Roberts and Matthew have stayed on and have now outlasted Riga, Peeters and prepared to work under Luzon. so, are things really that bad at Sparrows lane?colin1961 said:First things first we are reading the words of a sacked manager who feels he as been hard done by but we have already seen why he was sacked and it was not football reasons ....
2nd Powell and Murray both said on a statement that RD did not tell Powell who to play or have any influence in team selection ... What he did ask is why certain players were on the bench when we were losing games which is a fair point ...
Second if it was so bad why did Alex Dyer accept the role to stay as Riga assistant with Matthew after Powell went ?
If working with RD is so bad why as Guy Luzon taking the job ????

This could be far stretched and no Im not defending RD - Im just looking at the flip side of the coin.
Could possibly when asking why this player isn't playing or why didn't this player come on etc could he just be looking for feedback on the players he is providing?
For instance, He could ask why Bulot didnt come on in a game, BP says: Didn't look to sharp in training, Attitude poor etc. so then RD is getting feedback on player he provides and goes from there?
Long shot but you never know cant judge it on your hatred for the man, Just got to be open minded he could simply just be looking for feedback on network players.1 -
