We're not even halfway through & I'd already say this is the best world cup ever. T20 cricket has revolutionised the 50 over game (which is where England are so far behind the top teams).

Some incredible batting displays, particularly in the latter overs of an innings. Just what the public wants to see.

NZ vs AUS tonight from Auckland, starting at 1am. Should be a good one.

Can't see anything but an Aussie win but maybe home field advantage and inspired play will see NZ win.
Reckon both will want to bowl first.

Think this one is being over hyped, think that the Aussie pace attack will scythe through the Kiwis regardless of what total they reach. It's one thing carving England's steady seamers everywhere, it's quite another against high quality fast bowling, that unfortunately the Aussies have stacks of. It would be fair to say that they could field two separate bowling attacks and there would be no great difference in quality - both top class.

The optimist in me is telling me that if England win their last three games (SL, Bangladesh, Afghanistan) while the Aussies lose against NZ and SL...

it'll be England battling with Sri Lanka for 2nd place on net run rate.

Tell you what I'm loving this. Really enjoyed the Aussies being totally embarassed after lording it up recently and really pleased for New Zealand who have become a genuinely great team with a fantastic captain.

I know which team I am more envious of.
