I think that is Newport being kind, again this weekend he was on the bench and came on for 10 minutes I just think they don't want him
His sub appearance on Saturday had been Pigott's first game back after injury, during which he'd missed a number of games.
I'd guess that Newport have done okay without him, especially with another striker regaining fitness during Joe's absence.
The Newport manager has said recently that they don't have the budget to keep Pigott or the goalkeeper on loan from Peterborough - and both would be returning to their parent clubs.
I'd rather just let Newport have him on loan while we pay his wages.
A Newport supporting mate unimpressed with him.
Is your mate aware that JP is equal top scorer for Newport based on goals per game?
Afraid I don't know, he just said "we have one of yours on loan" & I asked how he was doing & he said not really impressed on what he'd seen & he goes to all home games.

No idea whether he was at the club or not or what happened to the trial, and whether Bob Peeters thinks he has what it takes. I trust Bob Peeters judgement on players though, so would give De Melo a chance if Bob Peeters thought he was good enough. No sign of De Melo, so it looks likely not to happen.
Would have also liked to post a video of the stunner I saw Jp score a couple of weeks ago. Really surprised at the assumption that he hasn't done well there. By all accounts a class above with his touch and vision.
Joe is class. Real tekkers and awareness in that player, in a decent team could play a teddy Sherringham role. Just because he isnt a 100m speedster or a lanky beanpole doesn't mean he hasn't got game.

There is nothing new to report on

And it wasn't Paulie.
I guess that I am a Joe, and all our other youngsters supporter, unimpressed with Newport.
He thinks Pigott is the next Romario though.
Every cloud and all that.
:-)
* I was going to use the word parody but couldn't bring myself to do it.
