    Be surprised if he goes
I would love it see Levy's face if he decides to stay and Kane tells him that he is refusing to sign a new contract. £100m walking out the door come next summer.
If you listen to most Spurs fans right now, they'd rather keep him for another year and let him go on a free.  However...

As I said in the PL thread a few days ago, the offer (at the third attempt) was just in excess of £100m (well £103m equiv of €120m) but the major issue was how the money was being paid.  Levy wanted most of it paid up front.  Bayern/Spurs have been talking all week and they've finally agreed the payment structure.  H has been mulling over things for the last week, knowing it was likely the deal would be concluded then he would have a decision to make.

(Just to confirm where this info comes from, one of my oldest pals worked for Spurs for best part of 20 years until only recently and he/we have socialised with a lot of the guys behind the scenes, going home/away with them, so tend to hear a fair bit of stuff that doesn't see the light of day in media.)

Me, personally, I'm happy for him if he goes.  Just hope we haven't spent the money for him already.
We need another CB and a replacement CF.  I'm assuming/hoping the delay in announcing the deal was to get all our ducks in a row on lining up replacements.

If he stays for another year then great.  I've got no issue him leaving on a free in a years time to wherever he wants to go, as long as it isn't Arsenal or Chelsea.

As for Levy, its a fucking shitshow it has come out a day before the season starts.   This should have been sorted weeks ago.  But hey, another stick to beat him with!

Good luck to H whatever decision he makes.

I want him to stay mainly because I love big Ange Postecoglou. Think he will do really well at Spurs if he can keep hold of Harold.

Trust he stays , see out his contract then tells Tottenham I can walk for nothing or we agree a new contract it’s down to you.

English football is the best in the world and Harry is and always will be One Of Our Own.
He must know that he will not win anything with Tottenham but he will break that goal record .
I’d rather be Spurs all time goal scorer and (say) three time Bundesliga winner than be Spurs and the Premier League’s all time goal scorer but have no silverware.

He would instantly make whoever he moved to next year Title challengers.  It’s not as guaranteed as at Bayern, granted, but I think he’ll take the risk. He’s still got 4 years in him at top level.

I expect he will see out his contract at Spurs and then go to Arsenal next summer on a free
  • Be surprised if he goes
Surely Bayern wouldn't pursue him all summer without at least getting some kind of word from Kane or his agent that he would be interested in going there.
  • Alan Shearer will be absolutely delighted.

He is damned either way really.

If he stays at Spurs he'll be accused of having no ambition
If he goes to Bayern and wins, its Silverware with a team that always wins.

Id be surprised if we saw a repeat of Sadio Mane's form with them, but there is no guarantee he'll do well out there - Although Id be surprised given that Harry and Lewandowski are similar Strikers.

I'd love him to stay in England, he's one of my favourite players in the Premier League

Exactly.  He agreed personal terms weeks ago.  Munich would have been in touch with him throughout the negotiations too.

Guaranteed if he goes, he plays the Gooners in the CL.
  • Spurs are screwed in terms of getting a replacement, so late in the window and everyone knows they are desperate and just received best part of 100m. Can see them ending up with someone like Lukaku or something silly like Ollie Watkins for 80m.

Levy's usual practice is to have deals for replacements lined up and agreed beforehand.
Wouldn't surprise me at all if there are deals already in place.
Will no doubt come out in the wash in the next 48hrs.

As long as whatever he does is to the detriment of Spurs and any other Premier League team I’m all for it

    Lukaku is still available...
  • Kane struggles with the English language - heaven knows how he will cope with German 🤣🤣🤣
  • The all time premier league scorer is such a shit accolade.  I'm the top score since 1992 when the league changed its name and sold out to sky! Let's forget everything before that.

apologies for going full on golfie on you

    Exactly.

Pretty sure he'll be OK with being Spurs and England all time top scorer, England captain, Premier League and World Cup Golden Boot winner, and now probably a Bundesliga winner.

Would be great though wouldn't it?  Hearing him murder the German language, bring it on.

Ja, Harry, die Jungs haben es gut gemacht und wenn sie 1:0 geschossen hätten, wäre es ein Unentschieden gewesen ... großartig

Love everything about Harry Kane. Model pro, hugely talented footballer, great captain for England. Deserves a shot at winning some trophies and he has served Spurs well.

My favourite non-Charlton player and by some distance as well.

Model pro, never see him in a bad light, always puts in the effort and to top it off is one of the greatest strikers this country has ever produced. Ridiculously underappreciated for his skills and attributes as a football player.

I can't stand the snide comments about his speech impediment and his lack of trophies. It's like people are so miserable themselves they are desperate to drag people down with them. The sad thing is now even when he does win a trophy I imagine people will criticise him for how long it took or where he won it.

Spurs fans were lucky to have a player for so long who will undoubtedly go down in footballing history.

I hope he goes to Bayern and wins the lot and caps it off with an England trophy next year

I read they're interested in Mehdi Taremi from Porto who got 31 goals last season. Only problem is he just turned 31 so would only really be a short term fix rather than a long term solution.

But Levy will like him as he'll be cheap given his contract expires next summer.

Gift Orban from Gent is the primary target I think.
Also we were talking to Desun Vlahovic last season before he went to Juventus.  Might be one to watch.
Have seen Taremi linked too but as you say, he doesn't really fit the profile of young, upcoming talents which we're clearly trying to stick to now with the data-led approach.

And you may have missed it this week but we've just bought a Centre-Forward, Alejo Véliz from Rosario Central in Argentina.
6'2", quick and knows where the goal is, particularly with his head from the You Tube clips I've seen.  But definitely one for the future.

And obviously, you've got the likes of Sonny and Richarlison that can play up top too.
