Just on the Brighton match, the match started late as Brighton's coach got stuck in traffic. Mullery blamed that for their slow start.
Got hit on the head by a light bulb thrown from the London bound train at Charlton station as we serenaded the Brighton fans relentlessly with the scoreline.
I will never forget a cold midweek game under the floodlights against Gillingham. Their tall blonde midfielder was a class above any other player on the pitch that night, dominating the midfield and spaying 30 and 40 yard passes with incredible ease, accuracy and consistency. One of the finest and most memorable performances that I had seen from an opposition player at that stage. I was absolutely delighted when we signed him a season or two later. On his day, up there with Hoddle in passing ability. Couldn't tackle or head the ball but his passing was at times superb.

Then were 3-2 down and looking down and out until Peacock and Powell scored.
Good noisy crowd, great evening.
