  • No.

It was a blatent an offside as you will ever see.

If he'd left it is would have been a goal but he didn't.
  • So, yes then.
  • No, because it wasn't a valid goal disallowed in error so not a "let off"
  • Couldn't believe he put his foot on it,it was a goal all day long until he did that. Pure instinct. Mind you,the defending leading up to that chance was appalling!

Surprised he went for it, at first wasn't sure if he touched it. Must be on a big goal bonus.

although if the fool hadn't stuck his foot out, it would have been a goal. the original strike was going in. so in those terms, it is a let off

Then so was his miss when Buyens gave the ball away, again.
  • Really? Lee clarke was convinced it was on side and went on about it for 5 mins in the presser. He owes the ref an apology if hes wrong!
  • Yes it was going straight in but he touched it with the bottom of he's foot just before it went over the line luckily for us and he was offside when he done it so no goal
  • Didn't look he touched it from where i was sitting in the upper north

He did touch it could see it clear from where we sit lower covered end just to the right of the goal we said at the time it was a goal if he had left it
  • Certain it was off side, like other said, if he hadn't stuck his foot our and got a touch it would have been a goal, nevermind.
  • Didn't know he touched it. Got lucky
  • He was practically on the goal line, there's no way anyone could have been playing him onside. Even if he hadn't touched it I'd say he was still interfering so it shouldn't have stood regardless.
  • Very lucky if that plonker would have left it it would have been 1-1 a lot sooner.
  • I stand in the upper north just by that post and to me he never touched it, I think we got lucky their, if I am wrong and he did touch it, then it was offside but IMO he never touched it
  • He definitely touched it. I was almost in line with it.
  • 100% touched it.

I'm in NW upper and he got a big touch on it. He was almost on the goal line and clearly offside. It was going in so pretty dumb but probably instinctive.
  • no surprise that twat clark is bleating about it being the wrong decision. the fella is a 100% fool

I think we looked good in that game all the time we were on level terms. When we were in front we were awful, though. Perversely it might have done us a favour if they had scored earlier - we will never know though.

Yes. I almost wish we would stop scoring first.
  • 100% touched it and he knew he did
  • Definitely touched it. The dick celebrated like he was claiming the goal.

I'd also like to see the build up as I'm sure the ball went out before he crossed it.

    Looked in on the replay!

After watching the FLS highlights, you can see that it wasn't. He was level with Henderson and Morrison was behind him to the right of the goal.

That said, I can understand why the linesman gave him offside, given how close he was to the line. And he should have left it. So I think we've had a let off both in the sense that a player's stupidity has helped us, and in that the linesman has made the wrong call.
